Personally, I would love to see Taskmaster as the villain of a Netflix show, it's right up his alley. Maybe Daredevil season 3.

On the one hand, seeing DD fight Taskmaster in his Netflix show would be awesome, on the other hand...on the other hand, I'd prefer seeing him in the movies because in all likelihood they'd be more willing to embrace Taskmaster's look and the full extent of his abilities from the comics ;).

    Any updates on Venom/Carnage?

And any chance they'll eventually do a Defenders of the Earth film? Kinda like a counterpart to Guardians of the Galaxy? I think DOTE has enough material to work.

Nothing recently. I'm sure when Civil War PR goes into overdrive, there will probably be segway questions into Venom/Carnage during talk about Spider-Man.

1/3 EDIT: Whedon clarified he's 100% not working on anything MCU. His last project was Age of Ultron.

1/10: John Ridley confirmed his Marvel TV project is still very much alive and integrates social consciousness such as Jessica Jones did but still entertain audiences.

The fact that he brings up Jessica Jones and how the show experimented on teens continues my belief it could be about Cloak and Dagger.

Cloak and Dagger would probably work best for the TV format...or Runaways, which I imagine Marvel has wanted to exploit as a media property for some time now. I actually think Ultimate Spider-Man did a good job of playing with their dynamic. They are basically two super-powered outcasts. They don't really trust anyone except each other. Their powers work best as a tandem. However, it's not like a romance. They aren't a couple. They are simply platonic companions.

TV just seems to make more sense and is less risky for a property like Runaways.

The Runaways might not be feasible on a ABC's TV budget. The Netflix shows work so well because they chose characters who either don't have superpowers or whose powers are very cheap to do onscreen.

Runaways has a big mishmash of powers plus a high-tech vehicle and a CGI dinosaur friend.

I think it might be an interesting experiment if it were animated of course I'm mainly saying that because Molly Hayes is basically an amalgam Kirsten Schaal's most popular characters.

An interesting comment from the Russos about the future of the MCU:

What makes you think they would keep all those elements? They might sacrifice the CGI dinosaur. Agents of SHIELD seems to get by on the high-tech vehicle part.

Hmmm, as much as I doubt it, it seems so much like West Coast Avengers. We're talking Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Capt Marvel (not Monica), etc. They are background characters who got their own book.

I just hope whatever the next Avengers roster ends up looking like, that it lasts longer then the New Avengers did...

Russos admit they're up for/there should be a solo Black Widow movie. Get in line!

If MARVEL can pull off three films a year, I can see a Black Widow film fitting in as a one-shot. Heck they can even give us Howard the Duck, so lomg as they're completely unrelated to the MCU.

Playing Lego Avengers and unlocking The Initiative characters got me thinking, what if one of there mystery shows actually focuses on The Initiative characters.

There's going to be a lot of TV-centric MCU panels at Wonder Con.

    1) Friday March 25 from 2:30-3:30 pm in Room 152

    "Disney-ABC Storytelling What's Your Medium"

    2) Friday March 25 from 6-7 pm in Room 502B

"The Psychology of the Marvel TV Universe"

    3) Saturday March 26 from 2-3:30 pm in Room 408 AB

    "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

I think the whole tv /film thing is difficult to manage. However, the films are at fault for at least not acknowledging some of the tv stuff. They could pepper stuff into the films as easter eggs.
