From WB Classic Animation's Facebook page:

FANS CHOICE: Here is your chance to help decide which classic Looney Tunes episode will be included on the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2. We’ve narrowed the choices down to six and need your help in choosing which should be the first episode on Disc 2. On Monday, February 27th, we will post a poll where you can vote for your favorite episode. For the next six days, including today, we will post a Video clip from one of the episodes to help you decide. Voting will begin 2/27 and remain open until 3/20. Stay tuned for the first Clip.

I hope in April or May they'll reveal all of the details for this release.

If Wikipedia is right, then Stupid Cupid wasn't on the Golden Collections. The other 5 shorts are on the GCs.

Looks like I'll be voting for Stupid Cupid.

Yeah, I just found that out. I'm currently watching the GCs and I just finished disc 2 on Volume 4 and discovered it.

Looks like I'll be voting for Draftee Daffy.

Wabbit Twouble is one of my favorite Bob Clampett cartoons (though I, like many others, have a sneaking suspicion it was mostly a Tex Avery cartoon that was finished by Clampett), so it'll be nice to have it in BD quality.

I just hope there are more new titles on vol. 2 than there were on vol. 1. I know it's a new format and all, but I would still appreciate having new cartoons I don't already own.

About time. I was starting to get a little concerned, since we heard about vol. 1 news earlier last year.

    New to DVD/Blu-ray:
    -Birdy and the Beast
    -Hare-Um Scare-Um
    -High and the Flighty, The
-Home Tweet Home (though it was included, unrestored, on Saturday Morning Cartoons vol. 2)
    -Horsefly Fleas, A
    -Lion's Busy, The
    -Porky's Hare Hunt
    -Prest-O Change-O
    -Strife With Father
    -What Makes Daffy Duck?

Now let's hear about Tom & Jerry Golden Collection vol. 2.

Those 10 never-before-release toons are awesome, and a great set-list all around.

That list of new-to-DVD shorts is still paltry, only slightly better than the first set. Was that not a big enough success to warrant some more restoration?

On Disc 3 are any of those features new? Or are all of them from the Golden Collections?

1.King-Size Comedy: Tex Avery and the Looney Tunes Revolution: I think this is new.
2.Tex Avery, the King of Cartoons: Ditto.
3.Friz on Film: Golden Collection Vol. 4
4.ToonHeads: The Lost Cartoons: GC Vol. 1
5.Real American Zero: The Adventures of Private Snafu: GC vol. 5
6.The World of Leon Schlesinger: GC vol. 6
7.Friz at MGM: GC vol. 6
8.The Best of the Rest of Tex: I think this is new.
9.Private Snafu: Various shorts have been included on most of the GCs, and a complete set of them was released by Thunderbean Animation. Hopefully they use his excellent masters.
    10.Mr. Hook: GC vol. 5

No idea, but I'm surprised (and pleased) that nearly all of the new-to-DVD shorts on this set are from the late '30s-early '50s. I guess they either abandoned that post-'53 rule or it doesn't apply to "collector" sets like this one.

    Three unrelated musings:

-It appears that we now have a "format" for these sets: Disc 1 will be a hodge-podge of the famous LT stars, while disc 2 will be the "complete filmographies" of various characters (some famous, some not as much), as well as miscellany. With that in mind, I -really- hope vol. 3 includes the complete Bugs vs. Wile, the complete Sam vs. Ralph, the complete Charlie Dog, and the complete Spike & Chester. I don't believe any of those cartoons have made it onto the Platinums yet.

-On the same line of thought, this is the first Platinum release to include black and white cartoons. It's kind of similar to GC vol. 2 in that sense.

-I wonder what music only audio tracks we'll get this time. I'm sure that Ali-Baba Bunny, Tabasco Road, Mexicali Shmoes, Rabbit Fire, Rabbit Seasoning, Duck! Rabbit, Duck!, Drip-Along Daffy, and Barbary Coast Bunny will be included, since they were on the GCs. But thoughts on additions? I'm hoping we get an audio track for Show Biz Bugs, and I can't see why The High and the Flighty wouldn't be included either, since that was on one of the Carl Stalling Project soundtracks.

I want to know what MGM Tex Avery shorts will be included in the extras (and whether it's testing the waters for a Tex set!).

That hasn't been in serious force for a while now, if the Platinum Collections (most of the new-to-DVD shorts on the first set were pre-53), the Pepe Le Pew set and the Sniffles/Hubie and Bertie set are any indication.

I dunno, this still screams rip-off; For someone who owns all the Golden Collections, this is paying top dollar for a meager handful of new shorts. And there's a more-than-good chance that the MGM Avery's will be the usual mediocre prints that CN/Boom airs from time to time.

^I don't think it's a rip off. I mean, I wasn't sure if it would make much of a difference going from DVD to Blu-Ray... but it does! Seeing these cartoons in this quality is great!
