Adelstein sounds very sincere - and that's the only positive thing I can say right now. Live action One Piece seems impossible, especially on TV, large budget or not.

Not only that, the studio behind this is also behind the upcoming live action Cowboy Bebop TV show.

    Say what?

This won't even be successful since One Piece is irrelevant in the US thanks to Toonami

Compared to the anime adaptation this doesn't look like it would last as long as it's anime counterpart.

Hollywood needs to stop adapting anime and video games and keep adapting young-adult books!

It's not irrelevant. New episodes are shown on Crunchyroll instead. The reason why it no longer air on Toonami is because the ratings weren't as strong as Dragon Ball and Naruto, according to Toonami president Jason DeMarco.

Uh, really? Because the number of film adaptations of young adult titles are decreasing since there has been a boom of TV show adaptations of young adult titles like Shadowhunters and 13 Reasons Why.
