This series aired on Netflix two days ago. Anybody watch the first episode?

I normally wouldn't have been that interested, but it was co-produced by Studio Mir, the studio that animated most of The Legend of Korra. This series had a similar look, which piqued my interest immediately.

Episode 1 ended on a cliffhanger and now I'm interested in seeing more.

You should definitely see more. The show's lore is very impressive.

I've watched the first Elves series from a years back out of curiosity. It was cute, but the animation was really choppy.

This seems like a huge step up, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more.
I'd also like to hear the story behind developing the show. Was Netflix or Lego like "you remember Korra? Make it look like that".

Seriously, outside of Studio Mir, I wonder who else from Korra is involved.

Take a look at the first episode credits - there are quite a few staff members that worked on Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Guardians of the Galaxy, Boondocks season 4, etc.
