I was really, really hoping that there would be a commentary track. Oh well, at least we have the Jim Lee and Jay Oliva segment.

The Jim Lee segment was a little surprising. I wasn't expecting to see so many references to non-DC Comics in a WB/DC release. It was okay. It wasn't a whole lot I didn't already read on the internet, but I wasn't bored with it, either.

The segment about the animatics side-by-side with the actual video was kind of neat, but nothing super memorable.

Finally, the Batman and Son sneak peek was great.

    Overall, pretty mediocre extras package.

I was hoping the bonus episodes would be 1080p, sadly they're DVD quality

I already commented on this movie in one of the other threads, so I'll just recap by saying that I enjoyed this movie a lot and commend the changes to Cyborg's origin being based on Parademon technology. I also like the decision to use Shazam and holding off on a Aquaman until the sequel where we can get a stronger introduction to him and Atlantis.

About the blu-ray itself --- I love all the bonus features -- Creating Heroes: The Life and Art of GOD LEE, Deconstructing Justice League: War with Jay Oliva and GOD LEE, and the Sneak Peek at Son of Batman (I'm looking forward to that movie) -- but I have to make a big complaint about the vintage episodes from the DC Vault...

I don't mind so much the inclusion of these, but if they are going to be used, they should be of blu-ray quality. I don't have such a problem with the episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold or Young Justice, because they seem clear enough to watch, but the Justice League Unlimited episodes look horrible! They have very jagged lines and the animation is a bit jerky-looking as a result (I'm not sure what the technical term for this is called) making them very difficult to watch. I noticed this problem before on past DC Animated feature blu-rays, but I have the original DVD collections of these Justice League episodes and do not see that problem there. It's a bit unsettling and I have to question why even include them on the blu-rays if they are just going to look so bad without the proper treatment? No pun intended, but it is a terrible INJUSTICE to such a great and classic series, and it may wind up turning off younger, potentially newer fans of the series that may want to go out and see more of the episodes. I'd rather not see them included at all than to see them treated so poorly. Whoever is in charge at DC/WB, please do something about this!
