Sounds good. (You are a ninja, James)

For comparison, last year with All-Star Superman they revealed the cover art and a trade ad on November 29th then on December 13th, the back cover.

I recently found an interview with the Brazilian voice actor for Batman, where near the end he is shown at a dub session in front of a screen, with dialogue suggesting to be this movie.

Can't embed it, so I'll put the link, it's at the 2:16 mark:

    My translation of the dialogue:

    Oooh a commentary, always fun.

Nice of them to include a tribute to Dwayne McDuffie too

Glad that Dwayne McDuffie is getting a tribute. I'm also glad that they brought back the commentary track. Although I still haven't listened to the ones on the past few releases.

This has probably been asked before, but on God's green earth is Phil Lamar NOT voicing Cyborg? I understand that DC's all gung ho with Hal Jordan these days, so I'm not upset that Stewart isn't in the movie, but it's quite disrespectful that they got the old DCAU alumni together except for Phil (and Maria Canals, that sucks too).

Griping aside, I'm a big fan of Bumper Robinson, so at least Cyborg wasn't mis-cast.

Interesting to see that one of the features is some sort of documentry about the diversity in the DCnU, and it seems to particularly mention Cyborg's inclusion in Johns' new Justice League.

If indeed this movie was made with absolutely no knowledge of Johns' plans (which I believe he stated had been in the works for at least a few years) then that's quite an interesting coincidence.

Johns has been building up Cyborg for a while now, and he does have a high position at DC, so he could've had an influence Cyborg's inclusion in Doom. However I don't think that "The New 52" itself had an influence on the movie. If it did, Aquaman would probably be there instead of Martian Manhunter.

So they'll bring the DCAU voice cast back for this movie... but not for Crisis on Two Earths? (An actual DCAU script).

The latter was made early on in which they wanted to get away from the DCAU. Now they want to play off of it. Simple as that~!

    What's up with Superman??

Okay, everyone looks pretty great, IMO, except Superman. It's like they couldn't stay on model with his face.

In some shots he looks fine:

    http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/dcuam/doom/media/grabs/13.jpg

But in other shots, he looks entirely too Anime-like:

    It's very disconcerting.
I'm totally buying this anyway. I just felt like pointing that out It was really bugging me.
Still, that being said I'm very excited for this feature.

NOW!!! I'm even more excited. I love good cover art! And THIS is awesome!!!
    Thanks James for sharing!!!

Those are probably in-between frames. In-between frames rarely look good. That's why those animators are in-betweeners. :p

That's kind of what I was thinking when I saw the pics. Especially the first and third of the "bad" pics

I feel about the same as I would if it was Wally. I don't think there will be much difference.

I hope the Dwayne McDuffie tribute is included on the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD.

I think I pointed out before that they really shouldn't be using bad shots like those for the trailers. A lot of it just looks inferior to past DC animation.

I'm still concerned about this shot with Hal Jordan's ring being on his left hand.

According to the trade ad, there is no 2-Disc Special Edition... Unless of course it's a special store exclusive.

I am curious though, whether or not the single disc DVD will have any special features on it, besides the usual preview of the next DC animated movie. I think the Dwayne McDuffie featurette should be included in every edition, but I expect that it isn't.

The press site for Warner Home Video lists a Two-Disc Special Edition. There should be spec details on all three editions available soon.

Cool, it's nice to see the feature length is 77 minutes. That's about how long All-Star Superman runs for (76 minutes).
