Or a lot of online shorts. heh heh.

EDIT: Chris Diama -- Chris Dia -- the guy who voiced Green Arrow voiced the dino boy as well.

Here's a screenshot I edited from last week's episode, with a more accurate looking pterosaur. It was originally supposed to be a pteranodon, but instead it came out as some azhdarchid pterosaur.

So I'm guessing this "monthly meeting" was a founding members meeting? It had all the classic founding Justice League members showing up (or expected too) aside from Aquaman, which I guess confirms this show is using the traditional founders for this universe rather then the New 52 with Cyborg :).

It would've been nice for them to mention that Aquaman was busy in Atlantis or something to explain his absence, or to at least acknowledge him given he won't be showing up in season 1 :(.

Interesting that Bizarro wanted to "date" Wonder Woman, given Superman had shown an attraction to her before in "Repulse." I'm wondering if it's a shared attraction from the individual he was cloned from or something deeper given Bizarro's opposite-minded personality :ack:?

Bizarro was a lot of fun in this episode. Heath Corson seemed to have as much fun writing his opposite-minded, but endearingly enthusiastic and childish, personality as he did when he wrote the Bizarro mini-series. And it was pretty awesome seeing Bizarro sporting the classic Superman look, trunks and all :D.

I'm guessing Luthor is still the one who cloned Bizarro in this continuity, so I'm curious to see if that'll get brought up at some point o_O.

I was genuinely surprised they didn't have Jason J. Lewis voice Bizarro since the voice of Superman usually tends to voice Bizarro when he appears in animation, and Jason Lewis has proven he can do a variety of different voices from his Superman by this point. I guess they just didn't want to go for such an obvious casting for once .

Though, that being said, Travis Willingham did a pretty great job in the role and really conveyed Bizarro's voice and mannerisms quite well. On-top of that, he's also voiced Superman in Lego video games, so in a way we do still have a Superman VA voicing Bizarro ;).

It was cool to see a classic Justice League villain like Amazo make his debut here, with a modern and more cybernetic take on his classic look while still being the power-copying robot he's always been .

Thomas Lennon's take on Amazo was also pretty interesting, shifting quickly from a colder and more sardonic voice to a large and booming voice, particularly as he became more and more enraged by Bizarro's antics .

I was wondering if they'd mention Dr. Ivo at all, and given the way Amazo phrased his death I'm guessing he was somewhat involved in what happened to Ivo. Though without Ivo around I'm not sure who else will be able to rebuild him .

It was nice to see Martian Manhunter and Flash make a return appearance, as well as getting actual lines, even if they both proved as ineffectual against Amazo as the rest of the League .

It was great to finally see Green Lantern and see him in action, compared to his past cameos, even if Hal is inexplicably the only character in this episode who doesn't get any actual dialogue. They couldn't have gotten Josh Keaton back for at least one line? It's like they can't stop teasing us with Green Lantern :rolleyes2:.

I liked getting to see a little more of the Watchtower, with the League sensibly having holding cells and a storage room for dangerous weapons in their mountain fortress .

Y'know, the show has seemed pretty consistent about one of Wonder Woman's weaknesses being getting wrapped in her own lasso, which I think was true in the comics at some point. I think I can recall two or three other times it's happened on the show...

Who would've expected that the story would turn from a Justice League vs. Amazo plot to a Bizarro and Space Cabbie team-up :p?

That was kind of mean on Batman's part to manipulate Bizarro like that. I mean, I get it, Bizarro would probably be too unwieldy to manage in the League and who knows if he even really wants to be in it with how his head works, but after all the effort he made in this episode the least they could've done was give him a real chance .

Amazo's just as overpowered as ever.

I wasn't expecting Space Cabbie, though. A small part of me thinks they may have originally had Jimmy Olsen in the role before going with a character they wanted to give more screen time.

Well, it would've definitely been in character for Bizarro to just randomly grab and bring Jimmy to something like this :p.

Dang, I was waiting for when Bizarro or Amazo was gonna use Heat Breath. lol. At least we got to see Ice Vision used. heh.

Whenever I see a map, I wonder that're they doing? lol. Hmm so seems Atom was in Algeria, Blue Beetle in Moscow, Cyborg in the U.K., Firestorm in So Cal, Shazam in the Midwest - probably Fawcett, and Hawkman in..hm, maybe Calgary.

I was thinking about it, and I think I got a kick out of Lennon's portrayal because it was kind of based on William Shatner's 'over- acting' style with the odd pauses between words. :D

Seems like it. They alluded to recruiting Cyborg after they lowered the age limit in "Play Date" I think it was.

Neat. For me, I was thinking of Bad Blood -- and was amused he voiced another flawed clone.

I thought it was pretty cool to see Lennon in another role as he did O'Hara in the Batman '66 animated movies.

No, that's impractical. But I would guess there were more scenes for Hal but they hit the cutting room floor and figured they could shave scenes so it didn't require any voice work since it was a crowded episode anyway.

Part of me thought he was showing off, too. lol.

Space Cabbie probably told Bizarro he wasn't Jimmy. ;)

This was another fun episode. Bizarro was handled pretty well, with his backwards logic resulting in some amusing situations. I liked how they even added a little bit of his origin at the start, and the short mention that Martian Manhunter wasn't around when he was created.

Bizarro's date with Wonder Woman was kind of random but still pretty funny. There's some chemistry in there. Other than that, he was surprisingly resourceful in defeating Amazo. It's cool they managed to make Bizarro into a pretty endearing character in such a short time-frame. The way Batman tricked him into leaving them alone at the end was pretty predictable, but I suppose we'll see him again someday.

Amazo was a good antagonist. His ability to copy the heroes' powers was used well enough, even though he only had to deal with a handful of them. I liked Amazo's speech pattern (even before he started malfunctioning), that was pretty hilarious.

Space Cabbie's inclusion was also kind of random, but I enjoyed the gag that Bizarro thinks he's the greatest mind in the entire galaxy. And by the end, Amazo think that's true as well. :p

I also liked seeing more from Flash, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern (even if he didn't have any lines). I was expecting at least one of the heroes summoned by Amazo to show up by the end of the episode. Also pretty cool they referenced Ivo created Amazo, similar to how they touched on Bizarro's origin. Good stuff.

Ha, they're really teasing us with GL. He finally appears, but no lines of dialogue, heh!

Yeah, they were definitely going for a William Shatner vibe with AMAZO. Which I was totally fine with.

Kind of a random thought, but if they wanted to include a Bizarro Jimmy Olsen into this, it would have been funny if they introduced a character based on Mechad Brooks' portrayal of Jimmy on Supergirl. :p

This makes me wonder if we'll see Bizarro pop up with his own Bizarro Justice League at some point, like in the Lego animated movie :p?

Both Fatal Fare, Mxy's Mix-Up, Supernaturnal Adventures in Babysitting, and Boo-ray for Bizarro were pretty sweet/enjoyable,

Space Cabbie and his moments competing with Roxy and communicating with Darkseid were great/funny, best enjoyable underrated DC hero ever:D.

Cool seeing Zatanna, Green Lantern(Kyle Rayner), and G'Nort, all the DC superheroes being body switched was great/hilarious.

Stargirl and her moments babysitting Timmy and fighting Klarion were great/funny.

John Constantine reuniting with the hot demon girls was sweet/funny.

Cool seeing Darkseid, best ultimate horrible Big Bad DC supervillain, so enjoyed his ruthless menacing vile nature and cool seeing Kanto/Deseed, my favorite best henchmen.

Cool seeing Roxy Rocket, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Bizarro, Gorilla Grodd, Klarion the Witch Boy/Teekle, and Amazo, nice to finally see Roxy in a new DC series, her transportation advertising was sweet/funny, cool seeing Gilbert return to voice Mr. Mxyzptlk, yaaaaaaaay:D, Bizarro being an anti-hero ally along with all of his funny moments were great/funny, love Klarion's cool new design, and Thomas Lennon was awesome as Amazo which Amazo has an enjoyable personality with a funny Willaim Shatner vibe, but still love his gold design more though:D.

The Space Cabbie/Bizarro team-up was great/funny, Bizarro thinking Space Cabbie as Jimmy was great/funny, they do look similar, hehehe:p.

This was a fun episode. Joker's plan was actually pretty smart. He managed to tricked Luthor and a lot of the Justice League members. And the Justice League thank Lex for turning off the bomb, by making him roommates with the Joker? Such gratitude. Nice seeing Krypto and Ace, it would be cool to see an episode or minisode starring, or co-starring them.

Throughout comic and animation history, Joker and Lex have always had a very fun relationship, making any team up with them fun to watch. This was no exception.

You have to love how stoic Lex kept himself throughout their time together (even the amusement park ride didn't get him to change expressions).

Krypto and Ace! I hope they do a team-up episode with those two down the line.

Joker is a lot more resourceful than some people give him credit for. He practically defeated the whole League group in this episode.

Ouch, poor Lex. The ending reminded me of that one JL episode where Lex had to put up with the Ultra-Humanite's opera programs.

There's just something about Lex being on a first-name basis with his prison guard (and a woman on-top of that) that feels so Lex Luthor :tweety:.

Joker and Luthor is one of those subtle comic book bromances, darkly mirroring that of their Archenemies, that's always fun to see as Joker drives Luthor nuts :D.

Joker got that Mother Box from Desaad? Almost makes you think Joker has all these different Supervillain team-ups when he's not messing with Batman .

I'm sure Lex wasn't hoping to ever go back to Themyscira again after Circe dumped him :rolleyes2:.

Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bathound popping up was awesome. Seeing Superman and Batman with their dogs was also pretty adorable. I'm just going to join in the chorus wishing for a Krypto and Ace team-up episode/webisode in the future:anime:.

Though I guess Superman must've got Krypto in the interim between episodes, maybe from visiting Kandor. If he had been around before you'd think he would have helped fend off Zodd and Brainiac in past episodes o_O.

Foreshadowing of the "Quality Time" short with the Justice League talking about hanging out and going bowling ;).

It was nice to see quite a few guest heroes appear, even if they were another slew of voiceless guest spots .

Zatanna popping up at a casino isn't a surprise, though that was a pretty big portrait of her hanging in it. Does she co-own it or is just that much of a regular that they made a portrait of her ?

I'm guessing Green Arrow will have to pay for that vase :p?

Hawkman in Egypt was a nice nod to the Hawks' classic origins, though it does kind of make me wonder what Hawkman's deal is in this universe. Is he just a Thanagarian space cop? Does he have an Earth secret identity of archaeologist Carter Hall? Is he the reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince? Is Hawkgirl around somewhere ?

As jovial and goofy as the Joker acts, you should never underestimate him at your peril. Underneath the comedy is a dark and villainous side that always comes out when you least expect it. Particularly when wearing his Killing Joke outfit :ack:.

Wonder Woman tearing up Luthor's Warsuit was a pretty awesome moment .

Lex Luthor is a lot of things, but he's not suicidal. Even if you gave him the perfect opportunity to kill Superman, he wants it on his terms, and not at the expense of his life and more then would be necessary. It's that kind of standard that makes Lex such a compelling villain :proud:.

I wonder why Joker ended up in prison with Luthor instead of back at Arkham? Did the heroes deliberately set that up to hand out karmic justice to the two of them or did Joker breaking Lex out of the prison somehow land him a sentence there ?

I'll echo the love for Krypto and Ace. It also a great glimpse into Superman and Batman. But yes, my favorite part of the episode. :D

EDIT: Karen the guard - nice callback to the Warden who briefly appeared in the 2nd episode of the season when Superman heads to Parasite's cell.

The museum segment -- that was about 3 references I think.
*Because of the Joker in a museum I automatically thought of the '89 movie
*The shot of Luthor starting into the green painting had to be a nod to Kingpin staring at the White Painting in Netflix's Daredevil season one. Green in this case is probably a nod to his association with using Kryptonite to try and destroy Superman -- and a color that calms him wheres white was Kingpin's.
*The painting Joker defaces is "The Scream" but interestingly enough, it's based on the 4th one Munch made - a pastel on cardboard - because of the presence of that leaning person in the b.g.. It's the only version out of the 4 he made that's not in a museum but a private collection I believe.

Cairo - Junior Birdman was a subtle nod to the Junior Birdmen of America club for boys interested in aviation in the 1930s.

Firestorm did trigger the lockdown, right? So it could be rationalized Krypto was stuck in a room the whole time.

Yeah, I could see the JL pulling some strings to get Joker transferred to Stryker's. Or Arkham passed, lol.

I liked that little Iron Man moment that Superman interrupted.

Blame prison overcrowding for that one.

Even if she performed once they'd probably keep the poster up. She's that big a draw.

I also thought it was pretty cool seeing Joker and Luthor pop up in a drive-in at a Big Belly Burger, which reminded me of the Arrowverse :).

Outside a casual mention in Vixen (potentially) I don't think we've seen that chain of fast-food restaurants in a DC cartoon before...

^Yeah, I don't recall Big Belly being animated before. But of note, there was Burger Fool in Static Shock which originated in the Static comic book.

Rewatched some of "Inside Job" and noticed Luthor having a teatime when he watches the live feed of Superman's bloodstream. Now I'm wondering if his request for hot tea at Big Belly Burger was a callback. Hmm.
