Same for Cheetah in the title sequence, they made her for it but she's not in this season.

Yeah, they probably had to figure out logistics of which characters to pick and what episode pitches to move on - and characters like Aquaman, Robin, and Cheetah are some on the cutting room floor. It's not like before when they didn't know who they could or couldn't use, the floodgates are open nowadays. With that variety, I think it's actually harder to plan a rotating ensemble show like JLA. I'm really looking forward to see Mr. Terrific. I enjoy Buress on his past projects and I want to see more Terrific since he was just starting to break out on JLU and then Holt was only teased on Beware The Batman in the first episode.

I'm actually kind of curious to know how much of that list DC gave them, of characters they wanted included, they were able to get to in season 1 and who might have been left over for season 2 o_O.

I'm just as curious as to which voice actors they'll get for their respective roles.

I kind of figured the JLA Atom would be Ray Palmer, but it's nice to have confirmation.

I think learning which characters won't appear on the show yet is just as interesting as discovering who will be featured this season. I was honestly expecting Aquaman to show up but I have a feeling the characters who made it into the show will be entertaining enough to make me forget about him. :p

Edit: According to ShowBuzzDaily, "Play Date" had 906,000 viewers.

906,000 views is great, especially for that timeslot! It gives me mixed feelings of satisfaction and annoyance; the former because it's good to know that such an entertaining show is getting the views it deserves, but I'm mad that CN is also wasting potential.

Imagine the ratings if this aired on primetime, and with all-out promotion. I really think it could overtake Teen Titans Go as CN's most watched series.

I also figured it was Ray, but happy to have that confirmed, and I really like that Atom design :).

That one drawing of him out-of-suit makes him look fairly dashing :anime:.
Hmm..."The Ringer" makes it sound like a wrestling episode o_O.

The sizzle reel had a scene where Blue Beetle and Stargirl are chasing Chronos, so I wonder if that might be from this episode, and we'll get to see Atom face-off against his nemesis ?

Pretty awesome ratings bump with "Play Date." The episode definitely deserved it :D.

While JLA's timeslot isn't ideal, I'm glad it's still maintaining solid ratings regardless ;).

Is that enough for CN to not greenlight a season 2?

What do you suppose is the main cause of week-to-week variance? 827 to 906 to 736 seems like a big fluctuation.

As someone who follows CN's ratings a lot...I don't have an easy answer. Many of their shows fluctuate like that. I suppose that many kids nowadays just have very erratic viewing habits.

That said, I wouldn't be worried - the ratings for a single episode don't matter in the long run as long as the majority of episodes get good ratings.

I think the ratings are still good, considering the Saturday morning time-slot. The show still does well on iTunes, and while I'm not sure how well the actual merchandise for the show is selling, I don't think there's any reason to worry just yet.

    Sunday April 2nd, between 1:00–2:00 p.m. in Room 300AB

It's cool the show will have a panel at WonderCon. Looking forward to what news they might announce there.

I wonder what the chances are for that new episode they plan on screening to have already aired in other countries. :p

Yeah, that thought struck me too .

Be great if it was a totally new episode though :D.

To be fair, the chances of that happening are getting smaller - counting the 2 episodes left to air this month in the US, there are only 7 more that have aired internationally (at least, as far as I know). Then there are like another 30 episodes left until they hit the 52 episodes mark for the 1st Season.

It should be nine episodes by tomorrow that have aired internationally but they seem to have mostly stopped.

I'm wondering if the panel will air a new episode that's set to air within a few weeks or if they want to show something way down the line. If it's the former, I could see an episode like Plastic Man Saves the World. If it's the latter, who knows?

We get them in a different order. I have seen Battle for the Bottled City already but I haven't seen Classic Rock yet :D
