Hmm...I wonder if the episode's theme makes it appropriate to debut it on Friday the 13th ?

I wasn't expecting another Toyman short, but this one was a lot of fun :D.

I love all the references to Transformers with "Generation 1" and all the different variants of toys :anime:.

It's nice to see more Stargirl :).

Cyborg taking on all of Stargirl's attacks to protect his toys was funny :p.

Cyborg talking down Toyman through their shared love of toys and rare collectibles was pretty fitting way to end the short ;).

Though I can't say I blame Batman for washing his hands of the whole thing :rolleyes2:.

    Justice League Action “Mint Condition”

If Toyman were a TRUE toy lover he wouldn’t have removed Cyborg’s vintage toys from their packages in the first place. ****.

Hope this means a new short each week until they've run through them all. :)

Hm, amusing. I was with Stargirl and Batman but I've encountered people like Toyman and Cyborg. Definitely relateable. heh. They may as well give Toyman. The Watchtower sure is easy to break into...

Not a fan of all DC animation jammed in on Friday and Saturday but eh, minor quibble, -- I suppose the race is on again to see if Supergirl (Dr. Light and others) appears first on the webisodes or season 1.

Find me a Superhero base that isn't :p?
Kinda reminds me of the old days when Cartoon Network would premiere new DC cartoons on Friday nights while Kids WB! would air some on Saturdays ;).

Point taken. Still I wonder if this Watchtower is going to make it to the end of the season. :p

    New webisode!
Justice League Action | True Colors | Episode 13

Nice seeing Metallo, and Firestorm trying to recall the chemical structure of Kryptonite is a neat continuity nod. The various Superman designs were pretty funny.

Talk about your "Crisis of the Colored Kryptonites".

Although it was pretty fun seeing all the different colored Kryptonites and their varied effects on Superman compared to Green K ;).

I love how Superman transforming into a woman gets a whole transformation sequence. He also doesn't look half bad as a lady either :rolleyes2:.

Metallo was a nice surprise (I'm also guessing Jason J. Lewis voiced him as well). Pretty cool combination of his green skull armor and his robot look for his design here .

Once again we learn why Ronnie is not the natural choice as a hero who's whole shtick relies on knowing the molecular formula of matter. Thank goodness he cheats by putting the formulas on his arm :p.

I actually kind of want to see Batman's reaction to female Supes :harley:.

His feelings would get super confusing which would be great.

    Justice League Action "True Colors"

"Don't tell Batman about this." Superman values the correct things.

    Aaaand... send. ****.

That's a really cool design for Metallo.

Pretty amusing. I know the history of Kryptonite shades gets convoluted but I think of all the ones we saw, I think only the Black Kryptonite did what it does traditionally. I cringed at the Gold because in my brain that meant he loses his powers and Metallo's punch was going to kill him and there's no way that would happen, lmao.

Superman's frown at the end was gold.

Agreed, very cool Metallo design. Hope he pops up again in the the webisodes and/or season 1.

That sequence vaguely reminds of another show but I don't recall if it was American or an anime. Just can't place it. Sailor Moon?

Until I saw the description calling him Metallo, I thought that was Atomic Skull for some reason...Either way, cool to see Metallo show up and I love his design here!

Red Kryptonite's effect changes depending on the continuity.

Usually it just means Superman acts without any inhibitions or the complete opposite of his normal personality, but I believe I've seen it used as a way of making him just plain angry.

Violet Kryptonite making Supes more...feminine, is also accurate, I think .

Sailor Moon is a likely guess, though any transformation sequence like that is obviously hearkening towards the Magical Girl genre :).

Red Kryptonite used to have a completely unpredictable effect on Superman. One piece might make him moody; another might turn him invisible, give him a huge brain or transform him into a lizard-man. Whatever the result, the effects were temporary.

10/20: My mistake, I thought it was Pink Kryptonite.

10/21: Metallo was voiced by Chris Diamantopoulos. He does the green guys. :p

I think these shorts are a great idea. Over the years, I’ve seen media companies have their shorts appear on TV and online, from girl centric IPs, to Disney’s Mickey Mouse shorts and slapstick shorts from foreign studios like Oddbods. They have proven to be a great revenue stream, especially when they can be put into compilations to work with YouTube’s watch time algorithm. On the TV front, they can air between commercial breaks (more commonplace outside the US), or be put together and air in a 11-minute or 22 minute format.
In this day and age, media companies and animation studios have to be flexible so they can rely on multiple streams of revenue. Plus this is much more accessible for audiences too.

I also love how the episodes are being streamed on the DC Kids channel. If all goes well, we can definitely get more Justice League Action in the future!
