I can remember her as Madame Webb in Spiderman: The Animated Series (1994).

She was 93 when she passed away, not 94.

    RIP Joan Lee.

Madame Web will probably remain her best known role. I remember that bit in the final episode of the 90s Spidey cartoon where Stan Lee gets to meet her.

She also voiced Miss Forbes - the landlady of the Baxter Building - in the first season of the 90s Fantastic Four animated series.

Joan also had a cameo with Stan as the elderly couple in X-Men Apocalypse which I believe was her only live action Marvel cameo though yeah I remember her as Madam Web from the animated series and actually growing to like her as a character and a role as the show went on and we saw what exactly her reasoning was for interferring in Spider-Man's life. So though she didn't do much acting work she was solid at it. Acting or not still always tragic to hear someone dying though going at age 93 is still rather impressive. I hope those who knew and loved her best though mourn this loss are able to recover eventually without any difficulties. Especially Stan since yeah they were married going on 70 years which sounds like one of those eternal hook ups only the most committed and amazing people could possibly have been in so props to them for that.

    RIP

From anecdotal accounts from Stan, Joan always seemed like a really classy and smart woman who was instrumental in inspiring Stan to create the Marvel Universe. her unsung role in comics and in Stan's life cannot be undersold.

My deepest condolences to Stan and his daughter for their loss.

That's sad news. I only really know her from playing Madame Web, and saw her as Stan's wife in the With Great Power documentary. In that documentary, which is surprisingly almost a decade old now, you really get a image of how great their relationship was and how long they were together. Canonically, she's the one who convinced Stan to write comics how he wanted to, which led up to he and Jack creating Fantastic Four and the other early Marvel stuff, which is something. Deep condolences go out to her family and loved ones.
