Another remake no one needs. I see development hell or early cancellation coming for this one.

Not that I mind, but I wonder what's with all the new stuff about "The Jetsons" lately.

Keep in mind that a live-action version of the Jetsons has languished in development limbo since 1985!

I was interested until "Family Guy executive producer" was mentioned. I'm sorry, but long story short (and live-action, animated, or otherwise), I want to watch The Jetsons, not Family Guy set in the future.

Well out of other HB classics this one is the only one that would work as a Live Action sitcom but in this day the idea feels out of place.

When I found out that there was going to be a new remake of The Jetsons, this time in live-action, two things came to mind: the first was "another example of how not to adapt a cartoon to live-action, as cartoons should stay cartoons" like George of the Jungle back in 1997, and that I was getting vibes of the planned Flintstones comedy series for FOX which never went into production. As soon as I clicked on it, the presence of a Family Guy executive producer might probably bring the vibes of it being a slightly mature show (the planned Flintstones series was going to air on FOX and had the target demographics of, say, Family Guy).

I agree with @Gear3dGryph0n, I wasn't expecting for this to come, besides, I haven't seen episodes of the show on an actual television ever since the Boomerang feed I had in the past stopped airing it.

I wouldn't worry about that. An executive producer is the person who provides finances and watches the budget. They don't always have much control over the final product.

Another thing to consider is that this is Gary Janetti, not Seth MacFarlane. He has done more than just Family Guy; he has years of experience in other sitcoms.

ABC? Interesting. So they'll be returning home so to speak...

Even if in the one in a million chance it winds up not sucking, it is still a terrible idea that makes TV worse just by existing. All things considered, Hogan's Heroes was not a terrible TV show (not by a long-shot). But I think TV (and America) would have been better off had it never aired. That's my thoughts about an adult oriented sitcom based on a lousy Hanna Barbera cartoon. Even if it's somehow not the single biggest piece of sitcom crap since Dads, my brain is now a worse place for actually having to contemplate it.

Hogan's Heroes was never based on a cartoon and it wouldn't help at all for USTV had the show never aired.
