Okay folks, This is the 2009 edition of Toon Zone Presents. I am your host, Kenny E. McCall.

I remember that I was on several threads dealing with classic cartoons, and one show came to mind for me. And the show: Jem.

I was thinking; what would I do to bring the show back on the air? Would I continue the show from where it left off, or begin anew with new episodes and new characters? And what about the original voice cast? Would I continue with the originals even though a good majority of them are no longer with us, or bring a whole new cast of voice actors into this shiznit!

I decided hey, why not combine it all in an all-new episodic fan series:

Jem and Friends - Season One, Week One.

    Episode 1-1: A New Beginning

It has been two weeks since BaNee left with her father, and everyone is still trying to get used to the truce between the three bands. but a number of very interesting scenarios are about to happen that will rock the world of the Jem Universe, including the appearance of a childhood friend of Pizzazz that's about to come back into the lives of the Misfits; Anthony Julian's proposition of marriage to Shana, in which she accepts; Stormer and Roxy finding themselves attracted to each other, which has got big brother Craig concerned as he comes back to the States from England to see Aja and for the Bluebloods' United States tour; and what could be the biggest shocker of them all: Jerrica is about to reveal the secret of Jem to Rio! But, will her actions spell the end of her relationship with her childhood love, and perhaps the end of the Holograms as well? Find out in this one-hour episode!

Episode 1-2: The Origin of the Misfits - Prologue

Toon Zone writer Zoombie presents the television adaptation of his story about the origin of the raunchiest, hardcore girl group of the Jem series, the Misfits! When a man from Pizzazz's past rescues Jem and the Holograms from one of Eric Raymond's murderous plots, he reveals himself to the Holograms and begins to tell the story of how he and Pizzazz met each other as children, and the events that led to the formation of the Misfits and their rise to the top of the charts, as we introduce to the suave but shy Glenn Danson in this special episode!

Episode 1-3: Ashley and the Starlights: Lela's Big Decision

In this spinoff segment of Jem and Friends, Ashley and the Starlight Girls finally get their own show within a show, as this episode spotlights on the eldest Starlight Girl, 17-year-old Lela Robinson (voiced by Cree Summer), as she meets a young high-school senior and finds herself in a very challenging situation when she finds out that she is pregnant weeks later! Now Lela must make the biggest decision of her life as she finds herself having to tell the other Starlights and Jerrica about the consequences of her latest actions in this special episode!

Episode 1-4: The Iron Man of Starlight Mansion

Jem and the Holograms find themselves in the strangest situation ever when Synergy finds herself talking to a new friend. Funny thing is, Synergy's new friend is a holographic computer connected to a very famous industrialist with a superheroic alter ego! And, when one of the hero's armored enemies starts attacking Jem and the Holograms during a concert, it leads to the most unusual team-up in series history as Tony Stark and Iron Man (Marc Worden) team up with the Princess of Pink to stop the ruthless Obadiah Stane and the Iron Monger (Clancy Brown) from helping Eric Raymond destroy Starlight Music! But, will Jerrica's attraction to Tony put Rio in a situation where he may be the one facing the Armored Avenger himself instead of Eric? Find out in this episode!

Episode 1-5: Jem: The Next Generation

It's the premiere of the fifth-episode spinoff segment that sets the series twenty-five years in the future, as we take a look at the children of Jem and the Holograms in their incarnation as Jewel and the Illusions! Meet 19-year-old Jacqui Lynn Pacheco (Kari Wahlgren) and her 17-year-old sister Jessica Marlene Pacheco (Ashley Johnson), and their cousins, 16-year-old Jack Harrison (Yuri Lowenthal), 14-year-old Cynthia "Cyndi" Julian (Kyla Pratt) and 17-year-old Jonathan Phillips (Scott Menville), as they deal with the pressures of following in the footsteps of their parents, aunts and uncles from the various bands, dealing with the inner rivalries from two other related bands: the Danson family band Emerald Dawn, and the Phillips family band Perfect Blue, as well as a wild new punk rock band called the Radicals and the fear of having a secret identity like that of her mother Jerrica for the pretty and popular Jacqui Lynn, all a part of this brand-new multi generational series in this first episode!

    Awsome stuff Kenny.

BTW, you all should know, Glenn Danson name is based on Glenn Danzig the lead singer of a the real life Misfits. Also the Radicals, I came up with that name, I based it off the name of a wrestling gang called the Radicalz. You wrestling fans may remember them in the early 2000's in the WWF.

I can't wait to see what else you have in store.

Episode 1-2, is a tv adaption of my fan fic, like many tv adaptions, it does differ. Just a comic book or manga tv adaption. That episode is about Glenn telling the story of the Misfits? If that is all that is it about, you should change the title to "Creation Of Mischief", if you only going to based on chapter 1-5. In my story, chapter 1 is the proloque, chapter 2 - 5 it the Creation Of Mischief, and Chapter 6 - the end of the story, is the Evolution Of Mischief.

BTW, Kenny and myself, we help each other out, we may share ideas and co create characters, but our stories are non canon to each other. At best, we are semi canon to each other, but we do things our own way. So if something contridicts each other, than deal with it. Our universe are seperate.

Episode 1-6: The Bluebloods Conquer America, or, Young Misfits in Love!

Continuing with the storyline from episode 1-1, Aja and Stormer get the spotlight this time as Craig Phillips and his band the Bluebloods arrive Stateside for their United States tour! But, meanwhile in Misfit-land, while Pizzazz is away in Beverly Hills, Mary Phillips and Roxanne Pelligrini find themselves alone together at Mary's bungalow, only to find themselves instantly attracted to each other! But will Roxy's insecurities stemming from an old childhood trauma bring them even more closer together, or tear the two of them apart! Plus, what happens when Craig and Aja find out? And, Jetta finds herself on a date with one of the Bluebloods, in this episode!

Episode 1-7: The Origin of the Misfits: My Life with Phyllis Gabor

Continuing with Zoombie's excellent Misfits saga, Part two deals with the relationship between Phyllis "Pizzazz" Gabor and Glenn Danson, as we deal with their childhood together from age five to the evolution of their friendship from elementary to high school, to Glenn's first years at USC, to helping Pizzazz with the start of her career and the tragic death of Glenn's ten-year-old sister, Karen (Elizabeth Daily), that sowed the seeds for the changes to come for both Glenn and Pizzazz in this emotional episode!

Episode 1-8: Ashley and the Starlights: The Return of Laura Holloway

Laura Holloway (Meaghan Smith), the girl from the Jem episode Alone Again, makes her return to Starlight House and her friends, the Starlight Girls! Now a student at Beverly Hills High School, Laura is about to perform her first concert at the Hollywood Bowl! But, when her adoptive parents become the victims of an apparent robbery, it's up to Ashley (Grey DeLisle), Dierdre (Tara Strong) and Krissie (Kyla Pratt) to help Laura catch whomever did the deed and get Laura and her family to her concert in time in this cute episode!

Episode 1-9: And We Now Present... Spider-Man and His Truly Outrageous Friends!

Daniel Gilvezan and Frank Welker reprise their roles as Peter Parker and Bobby Drake in this Jem episode where their superhero alter egos Spider-Man and Iceman make a return visit to Los Angeles, sans Firestar, so that Peter Parker can cover the Starlight Music Talent Search for the Daily Bugle in New York! But, things get pretty hairy for both the Web-Head and the frosty X-Man when they run into Kimber Benton and Sean Harrison, who actually are dead ringers for Peter and his new girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, back in NYC! But, when the Master of Illusion, Mysterio (Gregg Berger) joins forces with a manipulative hip-hop singer named the Hypno-Hustler (Calvin "Snoop Dogg" Broadus) and his girl group the Mercy Killers to sabotage the talent competition, Spidey and Iceman find themselves teaming up with Kimber, Sean, and Jem and the Holograms to bring the two Spider-villains down! Plus, Jem and Spider-Man perform the 1967 Spider-Man theme song in this Mighty Marvel-ous episode!

Episode 1-10: Jem: TNG - Perfect Blue, Emerald Dawn!

The legacies of Jem and the Holograms, The Misfits and the Bluebloods are ramped up to the nth degree when Jewel and the Illusions find themselves dealing with two new teen pop groups: Emerald Dawn, a group composed of Glenn and Pizzazz Danson's children - Glenn Jr., Phillip, Patricia and Mary - and Perfect Blue, a band composed of Jewel's cousins in Craig and Aja Phillips' family - Britta, Chynna, and Stormer and Roxy's daughter, Arielle! Will Jacqui Lynn, Jessie, Jonathan, Jack and Cyndi be able to deal with two burgeoning groups from the same expanded family? And, will Jonathan Phillips even up the odds when he joins his sisters and cousin in Perfect Blue? The Jem family dynamic is about to get a whole new wrinkle in this lighthearted musical episode!

Already week two. That was a quick week.

Episode 1-6 and 1-10 especially looks interesting. I wondering how they would extend episode 1-2 to fit a half hour, that is a pretty short chapter. Maybe they should talk to a few anime writers, they know how to extend stuff.

    Great work Kenny.

Episode 1-11: Anthony and Shana: A Wedding to Remember

It had to happen. Shana's proposal to Anthony in Week One has led to what could be one in a long line of memorable wedding episodes that will be featured throughout the series! But, it is not without complications, as Anthony's no-good brother, Andrew (Phil LaMarr), arrives in town looking to cause trouble for his brother! And when Shana is kidnapped by Andrew and his thugs, Jerrica, Aja, Kimber and Raya may be the ones helping Anthony rescue their sister from his brother in part one of a two-part special episode!

Episode 1-12: The Origin of the Misfits: Here Come The Misfits

Part Three of the Misfits saga begins with a night on the town for USC student Glenn Danson and best friend Phyllis Gabor as he takes her out to a pretty hip nightclub called the Tinsel Town Club! There, they meet a pretty tough young drummer named Roxanne "Roxy" Pelligrini, whose demeanor and hardcore musical style impresses even the green-haired Glamazon Pizzazz! But Glenn's meeting of blue-haired angelic beauty Mary Phillips has got the young budding manager invoking a constant reminder of his younger sister Karen, even though he doesn't know it yet! But, will Mary's angelic tones impress Queen Pizzazz herself when she meets the green-haired diva! It's the story of how the Misfits first come together, and how Stormer got her stage name, in this episode!

Episode 1-13: Ashley and the Starlights: A Visit From BaNee, A Father's Blindness, and The Rise of the Micromasters!

Ashley and the girls get a return visit from their favorite Starlight Girl BaNee O'Carolyn (Hynden Walch) when she and her father Martin visit Starlight Mansion for the first time in a month! But, what could be a moment of happiness for the girls turns out to be both a moment of sadness and surprise when Jerrica discovers that BaNee's father is becoming blind! Not only that, Jerrica and the Starlights visit their home, only to find a race of young freedom-loving Transformers from the Cybertronian moon of Paradron who have crash-landed on Earth who could help Martin restore his sight! But, who are these male GoBots and female MiniCons, and what will they have to do with the future of Starlight Music and the lives of everyone on Earth? It's the beginning of a truly outrageous series of adventures in the Jem universe that's more than meets the eye in this special one-hour episode!

Episode 1-14: This Man, This Misfit, This Monster!

Stormer gets a visit from an old friend of the family by the name of Rick Jones (Luke Perry), who has come to jam with the Misfits at the Scene nightclub! But, this is also a visit for one Dr. Robert Bruce Banner (Neal McDonough) when he arrives at the Gabor residence looking to speak to Harvey Gabor about an experimental procedure at Gabor Industries that could help the meek scientist get rid of the monster known as the Incredible Hulk! But, Pizzazz, Roxy, Stormer and Jetta may be in for the fight of their lives, as the United States Army has Mr. Gabor arrested, and a madman named the Leader (Matt Frewer) has captured Stormer looking to turn the young keytarist into one of his Gamma Mutant Warriors! A word of advice, dude: Hulk like pretty green-haired Misfit Girl and her friends, Hulk like green-haired Misfit Girl's father, Hulk hates Army men and big giant brain head, and... HULK SMASH EM ALL!!!! 'Nuff Said!

Episode 1-15: Jem: TNG - Mysteria

Plus, who is this guy? And, what does he have to do with a legendary couple from another Hasbro toyline that will make their appearance in Week Eight? Find out in this episode!

Anthony and the Holograms now know that Shana has been kidnapped by Andrew Julian. And even though the wedding is tomorrow, they still got to rescue her! But a visit from G.I. Joe member Marvin "Roadblock" Hinton (Kene Holliday) has got the Holograms thinking there's something else more sinister with Shana's kidnapping, especially when COBRA is involved! Now, Jem and the Holograms and G.I. Joe's Roadblock, Flint (Bill Ratner) and Lady Jaye (Mary Lewis) must join forces to rescue Shana Elmsford from Cobra Commander's clutches, bust up Andrew's drug operation, and still get Anthony and Shana to the church on time for the big day in this special episode!

    Episode 1-17: Angelina

More fun with the Misfits next week. But we now take a break for an episode involving Kimber Benton and Sean Harrison. Kimber and Sean are at a hot new club checking out a beautiful blonde singer by the name of Stunner who is about to hit the music scene! Strange thing is that this seven-foot-two-inch Glamazon is really a childhood friend of Jerrica and Kimber's by the name of Angelina Marie Brancale (Stacy Keibler)! She is a young wrestler-turned-singer looking to sign with Starlight Music! But, it may be Angelina who has to rescue Kimber and Sean when the two of them are attacked by the maniacal six-armed Spider-Man villain Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), who is looking for her! Plus, what happens when Angelina finally meets Jerrica for the first time in years and signs with Starlight Music for the first time in this episode!

Episode 1-18: Ashley and the Starlights: Playing to Win

Ashley is in her gymnastics class when she finds herself attracted to a young first-string football player named Ashton Friedle (Will Friedle) who has just joined the team. But, when she finds out the secret of his success may be linked to steroid use, it brings back memories of her friend Laura Holloway's descent into drug use one year ago, and forcing Ashley to find a way to help her new beau Ashton curb himself from the steroid beast before he kills himself in this episode!

Episode 1-19: Glam Slam Kimber and Stormer

What happens when you bring together one Hologram, one Misfit, and a whole bunch of superstrong female wrestlers together in one ring? Musical magic and musclebound mayhem abound when Kimber takes Stormer to a wrestling match, only to run into an old friend of Stormer's named Marian Pouncy (Robin Coleman) and her tag-team partner, Robyn Braxton (April Hunter), who happens to be Kimber's cousin on her father's side! And, they need the girls' help in organizing the very first Rock and Wrestling Spectacular! But, can Kimber, Stormer, Poundcakes and Gladiatrix be able to expose a plot by their manager, The Power Broker (Malcolm McDowell), and Eric Raymond to turn the Grapplers into an army of female enforcers used against both the Holograms and Misfits if the bands get in Eric's way? Not if Auntie Freeze (Marlene Aragon) has anything to say about it! Plus, it's Benton and Phillips versus Braxton and Pouncy in an impromptu wrestling match in this hilarious foray into the squared circle!

Episode 1-15: Jem: TNG - A Tale of Two Girls Named Britta Phillips

Jem singing voice and musician Britta Phillips voices Craig and Stormer's namesake cousin Britta in a flashback episode that involves both Aunt Mary and niece Britta Michelle when little Britta (Grey DeLisle) finds the family's copy of the movie Satisfaction in the attic and decides to watch it on the Blu-Ray DVD player! This brings Auntie Stormer to a confrontation with her own daughter Arielle (Selena Gomez) and niece Britta, who want to know the real story about their famous second cousin Britta Phillips, as well as the entire Phillips clan and their contributions to the music industry. Expect a number of songs performed by Britta Phillips, as well as members of the unrelated Mamas and the Papas and Wilson Phillips groups (in which John and Michelle Phillips, and Chynna Phillips, are related to Stormer and Craig in this cartoon only), in this special episode!

But, it is also especially poignant for Colonel Nick Fury (Andre Ware), for whom Jerrica and Kimber's father, Emmett Benton, worked with on a mission in the 1970's before his marriage to Jacqui! But, when a terrorist called the Flag-Smasher (David Hayter) kidnaps Kimber and threatens to blow up the Capitol Building unless he gets a ten million dollar gold ransom, the Shield and the Jemstar earrings are about to meet when Captain America and the Holograms attempt to rescue Kimber from the clutches of Flag-Smasher and ULTIMATUM with the help of SHIELD and still have the concert at the same time in this star-spangled adventure! One thing though, check out Jem's stars-and-stripes superheroine costume and American Beauty outfit in this episode!

Episode 1-30: Jem: TNG - When Phillip Met Jessica, and Other Wild Stories of Love in the Music Industry!

Love is in the air for both Jessie Pacheco (Heather Hogan) and Jack Harrison (Yuri Lowenthal) when the two cousins find themselves going out with Pizzazz's two children, Phillip "Pretty Boy" Danson (Greg Cipes), and Mary "Mischief" Danson (Ashley Johnson)! And for Phyllis Danson and Jerrica Pacheco, it's a good thing that Phil and Jess are dating. But for Glenn Danson and Sean Harrison, Jack and Mary's relationships brings back some old feelings between Glenn and Sean, and Phyllis and Kimber, especially when Jack's actions towards Mary warrant an intervention by the mothers towards both their husbands and children to prevent Glenn from coming to blows with Sean, and to prevent Jack from doing something he might regret to the dark green-haired Mary! Plus, Mysteria Sands' ex-boyfriend, Eugene McMullen (Andy Milder), is in town looking for Jacqui Lynn Pacheco, and that's got Jerrica and Rio real concerned, for the boy is the son of James and Anastasia McMullen, the couple known as Destro and the Baroness! And, their presence in Week Eight is going to send the series into a whole different direction in this romantic episode!

Jem and Friends: Season One, Week Seven
    (Mid-Season Special)
(Everything goes out the window this week, as Britta Phillips lends her voice to several characters alongside Samantha Newark!)

Episode 1-31: Dean and Britta, Craig and Aja, and Stormer Too!

Don't ask me what happens in this upcoming episode, but actress and musician Britta Phillips makes a return to the Jem series playing herself. But this time she brings her real-life husband Dean Wareham into the mix as their band at the time, Luna, is in Los Angeles for a concert with Jem and the Holograms, and the Misfits! But, in this animated adventure, the couple have just gotten married, and they're visiting Britta's cousins, Craig and Mary Phillips, at their bungalow, unaware that Craig is dating one of the Holograms, Aja Benton! Plus, cousins Britta and Mary have a childhood score to settle as to who is the better musician, and what happens when Dean starts coming on to Aja right in front of their significant others! It's a side of the Phillips clan that we have never seen before in this episode!

Episode 1-32: We Still Can't Get No Satisfaction

Yo! That crazy rock group from the 1988 movie Satisfaction, Jennie Lee and the Mystery, makes their very first animated appearance in this Jem episode that's a follow-up to the live-action movie! In it, Jennie Lee (special voiceover by Justine Bateman) and her band are performing at the Great Western Forum when they're approached by Jerrica Benton about signing on to Starlight Music! But, Eric Raymond has other plans for the band, including using the Mystery's guitarist, Billy Pelligrini (Britta Phillips), to lure the band to Misfits Music! But, unknown to Eric, Billy is Roxy's cousin from New York, and she wants to warn Billy, Jennie Lee, and the other band members about Eric's dark plans for the Mystery! Plus Jennie Lee and the Mystery finally meet Jem and the Holograms as they perform a rendition of Mr. Big Stuff and the Police hit, Wrapped Around Your Finger, in this special episode!

Episode 1-33: Harmony and Melody, Rhapsody and Symphony

What happens when several of Jem's musical instruments actually get hit with the Allspark and become Micromaster Transformers! Meet Allegra (microphone/MiniCon, voiced by Samantha Newark) and her bandmates, Harmony and Melody (twin guitars/MiniCons, voiced by Grey DeLisle and Tara Strong), Rhapsody (synthesizer/MiniCon, voiced by Britta Phillips) and Symphony (electronic drum set/MiniCon, voiced by Maria Barrera)! They're Starlight Music's first MiniCon girl group, and they're also Synergy's robot daughters! But will Allegra's relationship with the bad-boy Decepticon cassette tape Rumble (Frank Welker), as well as an attack from Soundwave (also voiced by Welker), threaten to break up the MiniCon sisters? Plus, Allegra and the Holographix perform their own version of the Zapp hit, Computer Love, in this episode!

Episode 1-34: Bewitched, Bewildered, and Bedazzled!

Again folks, Samantha and Britta are at it again, as they share the voicing duties when Marvel's disco diva, Dazzler (Britta Phillips), meets Hasbro's glittering goddess, Jem (Samantha Newark), in an episode where the Pink Princess faces some brand-new competition in a golden-haired disco dancer and singer named the Disco Dazzler, who has the power to convert sound into light, when she arrives on the scene at the third annual Jem Jam! But, when an old rival of Dazzler's named Lila Cheney (Louise Dorsey) looks to cause trouble for both singers on behalf of Eric Raymond and a corpulent television producer from another world named Mojo (Gabriel Khouth), Both Jem and Dazzler must find a way to shut both Eric and Mojo down and restrain Lila's powers before it's too late! Plus, what is the family secret that connects both Jerrica Benton and Alison Blaire to each other? Could it have something to do with their mothers being twin sisters separated at birth? Find out in this musical adventure!

Episode 1-35: Screaming Mimi: A Tale of A Sultry Songbird

In this story that stars Mary "Stormer" Phillips, Marvel's wild-haired superheroine, Melissa "Screaming Mimi" Gold (Britta Phillips) find herself in a situation where she joins Stormer in a jam session at the Scene nightclub. But trouble arrives when both Mary and Melissa finally get to know each other, only to find the two girls coming face to face with the unstoppable Juggernaut (Vinnie Jones) when he starts brawling with some terrified members of Zipper's old gang, the Skulls! Add to that Mimi tricking Mary into a wrestling match with her, courtesy of Stormer's musclebound lesbian friend Poundcakes (Robin Coleman), and we get to see a different side of Stormer's sultry new friend, Screaming Mimi, in this fun little episode made in both the Mighty Marvel and Happy Hasbro tradition!

Jem and Friends: Season One, Week Eight

Episode 1-36: Sins of the Father

Rio is still in shock over Jerrica's revelation of the Jem alter ego in Week One, and it is driving him to drink heavily! But as Rio tries to get into his car, the Allspark hits his vehicle, turning it into a brand-new GoBot named Turbo (Khary Payton), who stops him from operating it in his current drunken state. Now, with Rio in a terrified state, Turbo wants to know what's going on with his new partner. It's a story of Rio Pacheco's family life, including a drunken musician father who beat up his wife, slept around with many other women and lied about his double life. It's no wonder Rio is so apprehensive about lying, especially when his own girlfriend is doing it to him, in this episode!

Episode 1-37: The Lady, The Night Man, and the Sax

Pizzazz and Jetta are in San Francisco visiting an old friend of 'Zazz's named Jessica "Nightbird" Rodgers (Felecia Bell) at her new nightclub, Jessica's By The Bay. But, the real story is Jetta falling in love with a hunky, good-looking saxophone player by the name of John "Johnny Domino" Dominus (Matt McColm), who invites her to play a duet with him. But when the club is attacked by robbers looking to swipe some cash, Pizzazz and Jetta offer to take down the crooks, only to meet Johnny's superheroic alter ego, the Night Man, who helps the two Misfits deal with the crooks! Will the start of a budding romance between Sheila Burns and Johnny Domino lead to something bigger in the future? Find out in this episode!

Episode 1-38: Ashley and the Starlights: Welcome to Maxie's World!

Okay folks, this episode is important for two reasons: [1] It brings back a Hasbro doll that replaced Jem some twenty years ago in both toys and animation. And [2], it introduces us to the girls of Danse's home for troubled kids, Haven House, to which a girl named Maxine "Maxie" Loesch (Brittany "Britt" McKillip) is a part of! And when Ashley and the Starlights head for Haven House to meet Maxie and the Haven Girls, Ashley runs into her old nemesis Molly (Danielle Judovits), who's looking to cause trouble for Maxie and her friends, and Maxie challenges Ashley to an old fashioned baseball game in this episode!

Episode 1-39: Graphix and the Grey Gargoyle

The Stingers finally return to the Jem series in this episode that stars Ingrid "Minx" Kreuger, as she is looking for a new graphic artist for the Stingers, only to find a young 17-year-old graffiti artist named Gwendolyn Snyder, and a creepy Hulk villain named the Grey Gargoyle (Alessandro Juliani), who is turning people into stone statues! Now Minx must find a way to rescue the young artist from the villain's grasp! But, will she be turned to stone as a result of her good deed? Not if Graphix has something to do with it in this episode!

Episode 1-40: Jem: TNG - Jacqui and Eugene, Sitting On A Tree...

Meet Eugene McMullen Destro (Andy Milder). He's a 21-year-old model who just broke up with his girlfriend, the beautiful model/magician Mysteria "Misty" Sands, and is looking to set his sights on singer Jacqui Lynn Pacheco and her alter ego, Jewel! But as the two of them begin their relationship, Mysteria is plotting to put her ex-boyfriend under her spell so that he could break up with her! But there's a wrench in the works as her mother, Maeve "Astral" Sands (Desiree Goyette) looks to ruin her daughter's magical plans for the new couple! And that's not enough, wait until Jacqui Lynn meets Eugene's parents, who happen to be none other than the chrome-headed Destro (Arthur Burghardt) and his wife, the Baroness (Morgan Lofting) - in this episode!

Jem and Friends: Season One, Week Nine

Episode 1-41: Pizzazz and the Prime Time Superhero

Jem and Friends takes a trip back to the Malibu Ultraverse as the Misfits are on the Harriet Horne Show, only to be introduced to the Queen Barracuda's impressionable 13-year-old nephew, Kevin Green (Evan Sabara), who is visiting her for the summer! But, there is something special about this kid, as Pizzazz finds out that Kevin is a shapeshifting superhero by the name of Prime (Jerry O'Connell)! But, when a psychotic industrialist by the name of Vincent Gross (Michael Rosenbaum) starts targeting both Harriet Horne and Harvey Gabor with a killing machine and Riot look-alike named Maxi-Man (Townsend Coleman), It'll be Prime and the Misfits to the rescue of Pizzazz's father and the talk-show hostess! But, there's an even bigger surprise waiting for Pizzazz, as Harvey tells her that Prime is her cousin, and that his mother and aunt are her aunts as well! Prime and Pizzazz are about to tear Harvey a big one in this episode!

    Episode 1-42: Rhythm and Blue

Craig Phillips and Mary Phillips star in this episode where their new friend, Melissa Gold (Britta Phillips) comes over to the bungalow for a visit, only to bring over a friend and fellow musician of hers named Marissa "Rhythm" Heath (Rose McGowan) to meet Stormer! Big problem though, because Craig is serious getting a roving eye for the beautiful Goth girl! Worse, the M&M Girls - Melissa and Marissa - both have a serious mad-on crush on Stormer! Man, this is one lesbian love triangle that's bound to have Craig - and the Misfits - real concerned when both Mari and Mimi are introduced to Queen Pizzazz at the end of this episode!

Episode 1-43: Ashley and the Starlights: The Power of the Pack

The Marvel Comics kid superteam Power Pack makes their debut in the Ashley and the Starlights series as regular characters when Marla Martel (Marlene Aragon) and her sister, Margaret Martel-Power (Susan Sullivan) visit Starlight Mansion with Margaret's four children to meet the Starlight Girls for the first time ever! But, as with all kid series, everything that can go slightly wrong does, as Dierdre meets the 13-year-old Alex Power (Sam Lerner) and he gets real freaky with her! Jack Power (Tara Strong) sneaks a peek at the holographic wall and finds himself discovering Jerrica's holographic computer, Synergy, leading Jerrica into a talk with Jack about her musical alter ego, Jem! And Ashley finds herself going into lightspeed thanks to a transference of power to Ashley by both Julie and Katie Power (Meagan Smith and Hynden Walch)! Throw in an in house performance by Auntie Marla and the Power Pack, and you got one hell of a magically fun episode!

Episode 1-44: The Singer and the Spider-Woman!

Jessica Drew (Alyssa Milano), the superheroine known as Spider Woman, joins the cast of Jem and Friends as a reporter for an investigative tabloid called Justice Magazine who was Jerrica's college roommate at UCLA! In this adventure, Jessica needs Jerrica's help in stopping an old enemy of hers named the Gypsy Moth (Joan Van Ark) as she comes to the States from Eastern Europe to steal a rare amethyst diamond from the estate of Richard Xanthos (Jess Harnell)! But, there's one problem: You see, the Gypsy Moth is really a Croatian actress named Sybil Dvorak, and she is Giselle "Danse" Dvorak's estranged sister! Add to that Jerrica and the similarly-named Jessica finding out about each other's alter egos, Jem and Arachne (Spider-Woman), and the two women must find a way to stop Gypsy Moth even as both Sybil and her younger sister Giselle are about to come to blows over their mother Nadia in this episode!

Episode 1-45: Jem: TNG - Cynthia and Marissa

In this emotional story involving Anthony and Shana's 14-year-old daughter Cyndi, I'm gonna disregard the events of the third season of Transformers and introduce Dashiell and Alison Faireborn's 15-year-old daughter, Marissa Faireborn (Jennifer Stone), who happens to be Cynthia Julian's best friend and godsister! Marissa's mom, Alison (the former Lady Jaye), has just died, sending both Mari and her father Flint (Bill Ratner) into a period of sadness and anger as Flint talks with Anthony about making a memorial film about his late wife! On the other side of the coin, Mari's inability to cope with her mom's death has caused her to reach for the alcohol bottle! Now, Cyndi and her mother Shana must find a way to reach out to her best friend Marissa before she spirals out of control in this special episode!

Episode 1-46: Road Trip with Roxy and Jetta

What happens when two monotone-haired ladies who can't stand each other are forced to go on a cross-country road trip with each other by Stormer? Hijinks all around as platinum-blonde Roxanne Pelligrini and jet-black Sheila Burns end up stealing a Porsche from an L.A. car dealership, only to have the car reveal herself as - you guessed it - the sadistic MiniCon Crasher (Marilyn Lightstone)! Now, this wicked she-devil of a Transformer has trapped both Roxy and Jetta inside of her, feeding off the girls' hatred of one another and causing a demolition derby of sorts all across the United States! Luckily for them, a young green MiniCon by the name of Six-Speed (Samantha Paris) and a girl group of Misfits-style MiniCon instruments called the Electric Femmes are about to rescue the two Misfits from her jet-black nemesis and sister Crasher in this wild episode!

Episode 1-47: The Origin of the Misfits: Aftermath

Part Six of Zoombie's excellent Misfits story brings us back to the present day, as Glenn Danson is at his sister's gravesite, only to find that someone has already been there, and her name is Pizzazz! The thing is that the Emerald Enchantress of Rock and Roll already knows about her best friend's rescue of Jem and the Holograms at the parade, and there's one thing about Ms. Gabor you should know: Never steal her men away from her! Now Glenn's got a burn notice on himself, as Pizzazz is stalking him and he tries to smooth things over with the one person he really cares for in the whole world! But, will an incident at the Tinsel Town Club mean the end for one of them? Find out in the conclusion of this story next week!

Episode 1-48: Ashley and the Starlights: Shooting Starlights

Kimber Benton accompanies the Starlight Girls to a Wild West rodeo show at Christy's Stables where they meet a beautiful trick-shooter and rodeo queen by the name of Victoria Starwin (voiced by Nicole Sullivan), who was once a former rival of Kimber's from their days at summer camp! But, the Starlights are about to meet Tori's band of stuntmen called the Thunder Riders, as they join forces with Kimber and Tori (as the heroine Shooting Star) to save Christy's Stables from a dangerous cattle baron called the Sidewinder (Will Friedle) and his Serpent Gang! Plus, Kimber and the Starlights perform "Don't Let Your Daughters Grow Up To Be Cowgirls" in this episode!

Episode 1-49: Into the Mind of Hypnotia: A Jem/Dazzler Adventure!

There's a wicked new woman in Eric Raymond's life, and her name is Marlena Aragones (Jennifer Hale)! She is a beautiful Latina stage hypnotist who has got Eric under her spell! But when a series of murderous robberies involving various men under Marlena's spell are committed throughout the city, Jem and her cousin Dazzler (Britta Phillips) join forces with Astral (Desiree Goyette) to tangle with Marlena, now known as Hypnotia, Mistress of Hypnotism! And when Alison Blaire is put under her spell, Jem and Astral must find a way to break her spell and free Dazzler and Eric before its too late in this episode!

Episode 1-50: Jem: TNG - Rockin' Rollergirls

Here's a twenty-first-century take on the old Roller Rock-Out festival from the Jem episode Scandal, as Jacqui Lynn, Patricia and Britta are caught up as contestants on a hit television show called RollerBlasters, where they compete against other female rollerbladers for big prizes! But when the show's sadistic hostess, Cassandra Cross (special voiceover by Betty Jean Ward), pits the three teen girls against each other in a deadly game of Rollerball, our three heroine must play along and find a way to shut down the traps and dismantle the signal before Cassandra finds out! Plus, is someone watching "Peppermint Patti" at the event, and what's his connection to the Danson family? It's a mystery that Patti's father Glenn must confront from his past next week on Jem: The Next Generation!

    WHAT'S NEW FOR
    Jem and Friends
    SEASON TWO?

    Hey Toon Zoners.

Kenny E. McCall and Mary "Stormer" Phillips here with a message about the upcoming Seaon Two of Jem and Friends this fall!

Kenny: As you well know, the first inaugural season of this new Jem comeback experiment is almost coming to a close. And, despite the rough patches, it has been a good season so far.

Stormer: But, as our glorious leader and Queen of Rock and Roll, Pizzazz, would say, you ain't seen nothing yet!

Kenny: Ah yes, Mary. we ain't seen nothing yet! Next week closes out the Misfits origin series on Jem and Friends as Season Two prepares us for a possible double wedding, as Glenn Danson finally comes back into your lead singer Pizzazz's life and proposes to her, and the Tinseltown Club becomes a new fixture in the series as the men of Jem and Friends finally meet Glenn for the first time when he finally helps the entire cast bring down Eric Raymond once and for all!

Stormer: Also, my friend Kimber is the next one from the Holograms to get married, as she and Sean Harrison try one more time to go down the aisle, but first, some past issues between Kimber and Pizzazz, and Sean and Glenn, must be resolved before both couples can go down the aisle in wedded bliss!

Kenny: Ashley and the Starlights return for a second season of fun adventures as the Haven Girls, Micromasters and Power Pack become regulars to the series. But that's nothing compared to the appearance of the new, hip, teen team called the New Warriors, as Dierdre, now 16, finds herself falling in love with one of the heroes! And, Ashley, Laura and Maxie find themselves competing in a teen beauty pageant!

Stormer: Speaking of beauty pageants, I heard that Jerrica's vain supermodel cousin, Darci, is coming to the series! Is that true?

Kenny: I'm all over that, Mary. Darci, Dana, Erica and Sindy, better known as the Cover Girls, are going to become part of the Jem and Friends series as Regine Cesaire finally branches out from under Shana's tutelage and joins the Cover Girls as their designer. Also, both the Holograms and Cover Girls find themselves dealing with an evil former actress named Madame Veil, who has gained brand-new shapeshifting powers since her defeat at the hands of G.I. Joe, and a potential fifth Cover Girl in Una MacBride, who has a connection to Madame Veil!

Stormer: Whoa! But Una's the younger sister of that guy who talks like Zipper! What's his name... oh yeah, Low-Light! He's one of the G.I. Joes!

Kenny: Speaking of which, look for the Joes to play a part in Jem and Friends as the Real American Heroes will be involved in several storylines next season in the individual series. But that's nothing compared to the arrival of the Micromasters' gigantic counterparts from Cybertron, the Autobots and Decepticons, as some old friends of Emmett Benton and Harvey Gabor named William Witwicky and Isaac Sumdac become regulars towards the end of Season Two, and Spike and Buster Witwicky, Daniel Witwicky and Sari Sumdac make their appearances toward Season Three!

Stormer: That is so cool, Kenny! You know what, remember all those bands we had to deal with throughout the original series? What will become of them?

Kenny: Don't you worry your pretty little blue head, Ms. Phillips, the Limp Lizards, the Tinkerbillies, the Bluebloods, the Leatherettes, the Fifth Avenue Boys, the Zomboys and the Space Cadets along with two new bands, Cold Slither and the Radicals, will appear in the new segments with drastically different lineups as well!

Stormer: Kenny, what's this I hear about a certain Spaceknight who is coming to Earth to help our three main bands deal with the threat of an alien invasion this season?

Kenny: That's right, Mary. The person you're talking about is Rom the Spaceknight! And, he's coming back home to the Hasbro family as part of a two-part storyline in the Marvel Team-Up segment of Jem and Friends in Weeks Twelve and Thirteen of Season One, as the bands help Rom deal with the threat of the Dire Wraiths!

Suddenly, Pizzazz arrives at the bungalow to see myself in there with Stormer.

Pizzazz: Hey! If it isn't our glorious writer and executive producer of Jem and Friends, Kenny E. McCall! Phyllis M. Gabor, aka Pizzazz, at your service darling! Ken, shouldn't you change the series name from Jem and Friends to the Marvelous Misfits Show?

Kenny: I was getting to that, Ms. Gabor. In fact, the Misfits will have their own complete segment, along with Jem and the Holograms, Ashley and the Starlights, Jewel and the Illusions, and a new one featuring the Stingers.

Pizzazz: Wait a minute, those egotistical blondes are getting a segment!!! I'd rather have the Marvel Superheroes retain their spot on our series than Riot and his blonde bimbettes, as long as we're in those episodes! Speaking of which, Jerrica's trashy daughter from the future is still around in Season Two? Are me and Glenn's beautiful children even in the same series too?

Kenny: You're all in there Phyllis and Mary. That's why it's called Jem: the Next Generation.

Pizzazz: Perfect!!! Let me end this by saying that to be sure to check out the new season of the Marvelous Misfits... I mean Jem and Friends, coming this fall!!! This is Phyllis "Pizzazz" Gabor...

    Stormer: Mary "Stormer" Phillips...

Kenny: ...and, that's the way it is, folks! I'm your host, Kenny E. McCall, from Mary Phillips' bungalow residence, signing off. Good night, Jem fans.

    End

And, she is about to jump off the ledge with Video, Danse, the Misfits, and a billion people watching on TV! There's a new teen pop diva arriving in the music industry, and her name is Amelia Javan (Special voice over by Demi Lovato)! And, she is the newest student at Beverly Hills High School! But she goes by another name: Amethyste, and she is about to make an even bigger impression on Ashley and the Starlights than Jem ever could! But as Ashley and Amelia finally get to know each other, her manager, a wicked scientist and music impresaria named Dierdre Wentwoth (Marcia Cross) is about to exploit Amethyste and her music for a darker, more sinister purpose! That is, unless a visiting Stormer can help Ashley expose Ms. Wentworth's evil plans for Amelia in this episode!

Episode 1-54: Who Framed Roxy Rabbit: A Spider-Ham Adventure!

Jem and the Misfits finally enter the funny-animal comic arena, as the girl groups become anthropomorphic animal bands when they meet up with Peter Porker (a pig, voiced by Joshua Keaton) and his alter-ego, Spider-Ham! In this adventure, Peter Porker is taking pictures of the Biskits (a funny-animal version of the Misfits) and their lead singer, Pussy Gabor (a feline Pizzazz)! But, when their drummer, Roxanna Rabbit (a bunny version of Roxy), is framed for a crime she did not commit, Spider-Ham is on the case as he joins Pussy Gabor, Mousey Phillips (a rodentine Stormer) and Sheila Skunk (a stinky version of Jetta) in helping to clear Roxy Rabbit's good name and busting up the real culprit: Felina Hardy, the Black Cat (a black shorthair cat, voiced by Jennifer Hale)! Plus, what happens when Spider-Ham also meets their rivals, Jerrica and Kimber Bengal (two bengal tiger sisters), Aja Lynx (a blue lynx) and Persia Elmsford (a lavender Persian cat version of Shana) - Jem and the Holocats - at his Aunt May Porker's house? Find out in this hilarious takeoff on the Jem series in this episode!

Episode 1-50: Jem: TNG - Rising Son, Vanishing Son

Glenn Danson's romantic past comes back to haunt him when his daughter Patricia Alice, having won her Rollerball battle with Jacqui Lynn last episode, finds herself meeting a handsome young man by the name of Daisuke Arashikage (Aljin Albella). But, this Asian hunk's got a family legacy as well, for he is the nephew of one of the most dangerous martial artists in the G.I. Joe universe, Storm Shadow! And when Patti brings Daisuke home to meet her parents Glenn and Pizzazz, it sets up a situation where Glenn has some serious explaining to do to his lovely wife 'Zazz about an affair he had 25 years ago in Japan! Will Daisuke be welcome into the family by the former Queen of Rock and Roll? And, will Patricia continue her budding relationship with him? Find out in this episode!

In the Jem portion of Jem and Friends, Rom's rescue of Rapture and Minx in Venice Beach has caught the attention of not only Riot and Jem, but gossip queen Harriet Horn, who sends her entertainment reporter Brandy Clarke (Nicholle Tom) there to interview the heroic extraterrestrial. But when Rom makes his appearance at Starlight Music with Brandy, Ingrid and Phoebe in tow to meet with Jerrica Benton, he tells her about a terrifying race of alien monsters called the Dire Wraiths, who are looking to take control of the Earth through the music of the Holograms, Misfits and Stingers! But will Rom's attention towards Brandy Clarke make him forget all about the bewitchingly manipulative Minx? Plus, Rom and Rio meet, as he introduces the warrior to his best friend Brock Jones (Tom Welling), the superhero known as the Torpedo, in this episode!

Episode 1-62: The Misfits: Starlight, Spaceknight, Part Three - The Spaceknight and the Misfits Rock the Tinsel Town Club

But, as Brandy Clarke interviews the Misfits, a group of Dire Wraiths called the Rocketeers launch an attack on the Tinsel Town Club, forcing Rom to protect both Brandy and the Misfits, and helping Rio, Glenn and Brock protect the club's patrons from the menace of the Dire Wraiths! Plus, what happens when Rom gets to jam with Pizzazz and the Misfits in a rendition of Styx's Mr. Roboto? Let's just say that Roxy gets to fool around with the Universal Translator in this episode!

Episode 1-63: Ashley and the Starlights: Starlight, Spaceknight, Part Four - The Spaceknight Meets the Starlight Girls

The attacks on the Tinsel Town Club and on the Stingers was the first part of the Wraiths' plan for the Earth. Now Jem, Pizzazz and Riot are meeting with Rom to figure out a way to stop the Wraiths' next wave! But, as Jem and Jerrica accompany Rom to Starlight Mansion to meet the Starlight Girls, the Spaceknight finds himself joining Ashley and the Starlights in the fight against an approaching army of Dire Wraiths disguised as crazed Jem fans! Plus, what happens when the invaders finally put a series of Harmonix towers atop Starlight Music, Misfits Music and Stingers Sound, looking to take control of the Earth's populace through music? It's a fight for the Earth as the Holograms, Misfits and Stingers join Rom and the Torpedo in taking down the Wraiths and their Harmonix towers in the conclusion of this five-part Jem and Friends event next episode!

Episode 1-64: Starlight, Spaceknight, Part Five - To Take Back The Earth Through Music!

It's the conclusion, as Rom, the Torpedo, the Holograms, the Misfits and Stingers all join forces to destroy the Harmonix towers and fight off the Dire Wraiths in the final battle for the Earth! Jem and Friends: August Bank Holiday Cycle
(For the next two weeks in August, special new episodes of Jem and Friends will premiere before the September premiere of Season Two!)
Episode J-1: In Stitches 2: The Cover Girls Conquer the Catwalk, Part One

Yo! The 1970's fashion dolls Darci and Sindy make their very first appearances as Jem characters in this two-part episode where Jerrica Benton gets a visit from a woman named Darcelinda Benton (Samantha Newark in a dual role), a beautiful fashion model who's a dead ringer for Jerrica! There's a reason for that, though: Darci and Jerrica are identical twin cousins, being that Emmett and Jacqui Benton each had a twin brother, Elliott, and a twin sister, Jillian, who married each other at the same time that their siblings got married, but in New York as opposed to California! Now, the Holograms are about to meet their supermodel cousins, the Cover Girls, as Darci and her sister Erica (who is a dark-haired dead ringer for Kimber), Dana (who's Shana's cousin) and a young British model named Selinda "Sindy" Harrison (who happens to be Sean Harrison's younger sister), arrive in Los Angeles for a West Coast modeling shoot! The hijinks are about to begin for the Benton family as music and magic really meets fashion and fame in part one of this two-part special episode!

Episode J-2: The Origin of the Misfits: Fifteen Minutes to Destruction

It's the midpoint of Zoombie's excellent Misfits story, as Glenn Danson is fielded offers of interviews with everyone from Harriet Horne to Lindsey Pierce as news of his intervention of Clash's attempted suicide and rescue of the Holograms in Part One has reached the media! But as Glenn is interviewed by Ms. Pierce, Eric Raymond and his thugs have just plotted the unthinkable: the destruction of the Tinsel Town Club! And judging from Pizzazz's reaction to Eric's plans for her former friend, she doesn't like it one bit! Will Glenn get everyone out of the club in time? Find out in this episode!

Episode J-3: Ashley and the Starlights: The Speedball, the Starlight, and the Dragonfly!

A new character comes to the Jem Universe in Season Two, as soap actress Madeline Baldwin (Diane Pershing) makes her appearance to give Shana a special assignment to help her destroy her longtime rival Liz Stratton for what she's been doing to her friends on the set of the soap "Secrets of My Desires!" But first, her son Robbie (Matt Hill) is the newest student at Beverly Hills High, and Dierdre has a serious crush on the kid! But, when both Robbie and Dierdre find themselves helping a young troubled girl named Veronica Dultry (Chiarra Zanni), Dierdre is about to witness the first appearance of Robbie's alter ego of Speedball, and Veronica's alter ego of Dragonfly, as she helps one stop the other from killing her foster mother - Liz Stratton - in this episode!

Episode J-4: Rom the Spaceknight: To Take Down the Red Ronin!

Rom the Spaceknight officially joins the Jem and Friends cast along with entertainment reporter Brandy Clarke, as in his first episode, the Spaceknight helps Synergy deal with trying to deactivate a dangerous rampaging giant robot called the Red Ronin, who is looking to kidnap a prominnet scientist looking to create a possible cure for cancer! Meanwhile, Minx still has fallen hard for the young Galadorian humanoid, and when she sees the hero with Brandy, she finds herself doing everything in her power to make sure that Brandy stays away from the Spaceknight for good in this premiere episode!

Episode J-5: Marla Martel and the Sorcerer Supreme

Oh hell no! Magician Marla Martel (Marlene Aragon) stars in her very first solo episode, sans Devin Silverstone, as she is in New York for her stage show when she meets a handsome former surgeon named Stephen Strange (Bryce Johnson). But as she is about to find out from his assistant Wong when she visits his Sanctum Sanctorum in Greenwich Village, Stephen has a heroic alter ego of his own, for he is none other than Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme! And when the dread Dormammu (Kevin Michael Richardson) looks to corrupt the Books of the Vishanti to his own ends, both Strange and Martel must team up to stop the demon from using the tomes from turning Earth into a burning wasteland in this terrifying tale of dark magic!

Next: Jem and Friends: August Bank Holiday Cycle - Week Two!
