James Horner, award-winning composer for Titanic, An American Tale, The Land Before Time, We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story, and Avatar, was killed in a plane crash yesterday. He was 61.

That makes me sad. :( The Land Before Time is one of my favorite scores.

    R.I.P.

I was really shocked when I heard what happened. James Horner wrote many awe-inspiring film scores, and what's tragic is that I'm sure he'd still have plenty more ideas that perhaps would've led him to more Oscar wins.

R.I.P. James Horner. You will truly be missed.

It's easily a tragic loss. His work is transcending and unbelievably memorable, and seeing such an artist go is a shame.

RIP James Horner. You will be missed.
