Mondo's poster for the movie.
More talk of this being the last IM film:

Gywneth Paltrow Seems Pretty Certain There Won't Be An IRON MAN 4
Be wise to see him off correctly and open up the universe to more heroes. Maybe allow a trilogy for each Avenger film, like Cap, Thor and even Hulk.
I tend not to listen when actors say that sort of thing. They're the last to know.
Yeah, but RDjr is the deciding factor, he's getting older and has stated he wants explore new avenues of interest. Add in the very real scare of his experience on this film, he is in the position to stay or go and there's not enough money MARVEL can throw him at this point. He's helped mold the MCU so I'm willing to let this film be the final RDjr Iron Man film. Him showing up in cameos or Avengers is a different story. The chapter of the ten rings will be closed and other than Fin Fang Foom, there aren't many more IM villains to fill one film. Besides we do have other characters they can build into franchises.
Well, we're in 2013 right now. Since in all likelihood Tony will be in The Avengers 2 in 2015 I think it would be fair to hold off on a Iron Man 4 until 2019. This gives the cast time to clock in some non-Marvel work and re-evaluate things.
Yep. Yep. And Yep. Too bad they had considered using FFF for this movie at one point. And true, that seems to be what Phase 3 is shaping up to be about.
Having seen the film last night due to the early release here in the UK, I will provide a spoiler free review for those interested.
It's awesome. Go see it for yourself.
And, as always, stay behind after the credits. I couldn't believe how many people just got up and left as soon as the credits started.
Also of one, the film itself (over here at least) is named Iron Man Three, not Iron Man 3. Funky.
Three instead of 3?
Just asking, but was there any decent segments in the movie (i.e. 1 hour mark), when one could safely leave the room to take a bathroom break and return not missing anything?
So there will be a teaser of some sort. That's great to hear.
Indeed. The title is "Iron Man Three".
I was needing a bathroom break myself about 10 minutes in but I couldn't find what I thought would be a quiet moment to go. I couldn't really recommend one either, I would suggest you struggle, as I did. There's a lot of twists that you will not want to miss!
Curses! I'll have to time my 'functions' when I go like with The Dark Knight Rises.
RDJr is 48 right now, by then he'll been waaaay too old. I think the same goes for the other cast members. If I had to guess I'd say this is the last solo Iron Man movie, but RDJr will reprise his role in future Avengers movies.
Isn't 54 the new 30?
Considering how many action starts are fifty-plus it's not that old. Heck, it's not like he has to do most of his own stunts, anyway. Taking some time away from the character gives a perfect chance to completely change his status quo and opens up many possibilities to work with.
The official Toonzone talkback for Iron Man 3 will go up around 12:01pm (ET) midnight tonight! Preview screenings kick-off tonight at 9pm local time.
I find it interesting that Downey kinda said in one interview that Iron Man is just a part of a whole. In other words, I don't think Marvel sees it as a solo series, but the Avengers is the real franchise.
