Well at least Indians won't have to suffer SpongeBob winning every year.

BECAUSE IT'S NO LONGER POPULAR IN INDIA!

Nick India has now started placing ADWARE on their channels!!

Now they place CONSTANT ads whenever a show is on. Before it just shows for just around 5-8 mins before going away. It’s stays there during the entire episode and the only time they don’t do this is at late night.

You don’t want to know what the screen will look like if there’s a movie premiere or something, there will be something in EVERY CORNER OF THE CHANNEL SCREEN THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE EPISODE, ALL DAY.

This started from early October, but has gotten worse. Just pure greed for ratings!!!

Nice! Didn't know that Sonic is still airing Mighty Cat Masked Niyander.

Can you also switch the audio track to English?

Sadly Bengal is showing Sonic in Hindi only.

They are only airing it as an excuse not to air original Nickelodeon shows at night. It started airing again from Wednesday.

This adware makes me remind of DC PT and CN PT.

    Some Nick Jr "Portuguese" promos

The feed Portugal receives is the ad-less global feed (Germany, NZ, Russia etc.) as opposed to the ad-supported localised EMEA feed (Spain, Benelux, Poland, Hungary etc.)

I still don't know why does NZ get Nick Jr. Global and now Nick Jr. Australia. This could have made some sense if Viacom didn't shut down their Auckland offices back in 2010, but I still don't understand this.

There was one thing Nick NZ was notable for: Māori dubs of SpongeBob but these were limited only to Māori Language Week. To do dubs of cartoons into the language you'll need an independent production company and government funding.

Kung Fu Panda was one of Sonic’s launch shows. Here’s the promo

Once again: the possible reason why Sonic Nickelodeon switched to a near clone of Nick itself is because there might be many parents who are against action cartoons in India. Basically what happened to Toonami.

The longtime elusive Hey Arnold! TJM film is coming this month to Nick USA. If Nick Iberia premieres it, they most likely won't air episodes of the old show (last aired here in 2009 when we switched the source to Nick Spain) in preparation for the film.

    Sai daqui, cabeça de melão!

Nick Iberia just refuses to air classic shows. I mean, even Nick CEE aired some as late as 2009!

    These are cute!
India sure loves anime. They've even gotten dubs of shows that haven't even recieved a Western release such as Anpanman and Chibi Maruko-Chan. Also, isn't Motu Patlu the show where the infamous "D is for Dab!" clip came from?

I still don't know why does India stick more to local cartoons these days.

By the way, @mimitchi33, that kid who sings throughout "D is for Dab" is one of the neighbors of Motu and Patlu.

Local stuff is usually cheaper. Take Canada, for instance, where you have tons of cartoons that were made there using flash to fulfill Canadian content laws, including Johnny Test, Almost Naked Animals, Chuck's Choice, Numb Chucks, Total Drama...and then there's the non-Flash series like like Franklin, The Backyardigans, Arthur, Caillou and Paw Patrol. Japan and Singapore have similar laws which state that dubbing also counts, which is why when foreign series come there, they often include new intros and closings made for the Japanese market and why the DVD releases of Adventures from the Book of Virtues have a different English dub than the original airings (other than to avoid paying loyalties to the celebrity guests) because it was cheaper to dub the show in Singapore.

Yeah, but I have never seen any other Nickelodeon in the world that neglects Nickelodeon Original programming as much as Nick India does.

Nick Romania has postponed The Loud House for months now. I wonder why they are doing it.

I don't know. Maybe some more censorship reasons?
