I learned that the Death Egg Robot from Sonic 2 shoots tiny Eggman drones at you if you manage to get behind him when he comes back down.

Unless this picture is just a mock-up, I learned that the latest Christmas Eve on Sesame Street DVD has Elmo on the spine, even though the special aired a year before Elmo made his first appearance, and even longer before he became a main character. It reminds me of when he popped up on the front cover of Follow That Bird, even though the movie only shows him as a no-name, non-speaking extra.

I learned that if I bothered to repeat the "Roxas tries to earn enough munny to go to the beach" part of Kingdom Hearts II until Roxas accumulated 2000 munny, I could have earned two extra Ability Points.

Is it true that Americans don't learn to write in one line? : O

Not anymore they don't. They taught cursive when I went to school, but its main purpose was to make writing a faster process, something made obsolete by our use of keyboards for nearly everything.

Of course, if you don't learn cursive you can't develop a cool-looking signature. I liked my signature enough that I started signing my drawings in fourth grade.

I learned cursive in third grade, I think I may have been one of the last classes at my elementary school to do so. But I'm still terrible at writing, cursive or print, my signature ain't impressive, and it hurts my hand after a while- I much prefer typing.

I learned that Emily Dickinson poems are written in ballad verse form, which makes it possible to sing them to the tune of Amazing Grace, Auld Lang Syne, House of the Rising Sun, O Little Town of Bethlehem, the Gilligan's Island theme, and the Pokemon theme among others. And yes, all of THOSE can be sung to the tunes of each other. Which makes for some... interesting juxtapositions.

Today I learned the DTV theme is actually called "RPM" by Larry Owens, originally composed in 1981 to score basketball footage:

I learned that before you because one of my old movies has a commercial for some university on it with that exact track.

Going through an old issue of Captain N: The Game Master last night, I discovered Valiant was planning on releasing a Lost In Space comic book. (It's still within 24hrs from last night, so this still counts as "today," right?)

I learned that the LazyTown episode with We Are Number One in it (Robbie's Dream Team) has a 10/10 rating on IMDB.

I learned that Superman Returns seems like Warner's only live-action Superman movie in which Lois Lane has a younger actor than Superman does.

I learned that the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry has the complete original Broadway cast recording of The Wiz, but only one song from The Wizard of Oz ("Over the Rainbow").

Reminds me of how just last year the Grammy Hall of Fame added an entire Prince album (Sign O' the Times) but only one David Bowie track (Changes).
They've also got the entire Wizard of Oz film soundtrack, and Over the Rainbow as a separate addition, but nothing from the Wiz yet.

I learned that one of the music tracks in the PS1 game Omega Boost has a slowed down "raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens" sample from My Favorite Things in it.
