Hype has always been a thing, especially with nerds. Hype can make you love a story or it can get your hands on something that's an utterly failure.

My question to you is, when has hype let you down? [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I don't fall in hype traps that much, but there was an "Amoras" hype in Belgium in 2013 (as in: it was heavily promoted online, in stores and in newspapers) and it made me curious, but for some reason I still haven't checked it out. The series is still going so it can't be that bad. I'll probably check it out in September or so xD

(It is basically a "mature" version of a classic comic series that is unknown outside Belgium and the Netherlands)

Dawn of Justice was all hype and no substance. More than any movie in recent memory, it was just something to get people in theaters with a premise guaranteed to get people talking. That's why the drop off was so steep on the second weekend.
