Hulu just keeps getting better and better, I really think this is a deal that they could heavily benefit and exceed their rivalry with Netflix because this is big.

Here's a bunch of new info for Hulu's new live TV service. I'm really starting to find hope that this might just be the streaming service that can come as close to cable TV. Sling TV, PS Vue, and DirectTV Now, all have their pros and cons, but because Hulu's adding their on-demand services, then I see way more opportunities for streaming once this new service arrives.

So when next year comes around and Viacom is doing worse for sticking solely to a dying format for live content, I wonder if he'll be stepping down.

I thought the upcoming "CBS All Access" (which is going to be the home of the new Star Trek show) was going to be CBS's alternative for online streaming. I thought it was going to be in direct competition with Hulu.

CBS and Viacom are separate companies. Viacom is being stubborn about live online streaming of its family of networks. CBS is just a trash heap hedging their online service on a single show which isn't going to encourage the massive numbers of people to it that they think it will. They aren't really known for high-end stuff that people would pay for like HBO after all.
