Toy Fair info has started to trickle out. Figures.com have a gallery for SEED and SD

    SEED- http://69.93.35.18/photo/1/showgallery.php?cat=1189&password=

Nothing too interesting, its mostly stuff that has already had a Japanese release

    SD- http://69.93.35.18/photo/1/showgallery.php?cat=1188&password=

Some stuff we haven't seen images of yet, including Ashuramaru, Veyeate and the Ultimate Gundam playset. What exactly is that in the pic titled SD9? I haven't seen the show, so I don't know if its Blanc Base but I'm guessing its a location we'll see in Ark for season 2.

    O.O Chibi G-Fighter! Yay!

That Griffin Armor looks pretty sweet.

I'm hoping the Griffon will come with the May release in Japan of Griffon Tallgeese. Looking at the Griffin, you can easily see the areas that would be armour for Tallgeese so hopefully they'll include it unlike them removing Dom from his beloved Gallop. I'm also wondering if the upcoming Zero Custom figure will have a similar companion piece in Fenn.

It is kinda nice to see images of the SEED action figures now
they're looking good so far, and didn't end up looking horrible to make
    certain actions work.

Heh is it a bad thing to know most of their names before the show is out ?:D

Dunno which ones I'd want yet, I'll have to see em in person though
ya never know if they'll mess one up entirely or not.

I'm wondering why they're bringing over the 300 yen kits. I can understand the HGs, MSiA and the 1/144, but the low level kits will likely not sell well or lead to problems-

*Dad* "Happy Birthday, son! We got you that Gundam you wanted"
*Son*"Yay, thanks mom and dad!" *opens it* "W-what? Noooo!" *sobs*
    *Dad* "Honey, what's wrong?"
*Mom* "I'm not sure....but its YOUR fault!"
    *Dad* " "

I dunno if I like the way the Gundam Marker is being used on these SD models. They look way too bold and it makes them look fugly.

New SD/Seed figures shown at the Toy Fair!

I'm betting that some, if not all of the Seed modles have already been released in Japan, but I think we're getting the SD stuff first.

    http://www.ugo.com/channels/comics/features/toyfair/gundam.asp

I'm definitely going to have to buy a Seed Gundam and maybe Ashuramaru, and I'm getting Mighty Max/Castle Greyskull vibes from those playsets...But does the world really need Shute and Captain-with-scary-mouth figures?

No offense, but I mentioned the Toy Fair news in the Gundam Toys and Models Thread.

Cheers, saves Behonkiss' post going to waste.

For SEED, I'd highly recommend the HG 1/144 Aegis Gundam kit. Nice kit/design and it transforms to boot!
Mighty Max? Not a bad idea. Baku would love the guy, what with the portal cap :p
As for the Gunbike figures- I think Mobile Citizen Captain has been hinted at by how simple the Re-Equip Ring transformation is on the show. He seems perfect to appear in some online toy photo comic as Captain's nerdy twin.

Apologies. I thought this thread was focused solely on the Seed line.

No, it is a mighty all-series beast that will devour all!...except the Transformers thread. Don't worry, no need to apolagise.

Speaking of the the Toy fair, wasn't Bandai supposed to announce something about Gundam Seed on CN or something. I believe Jerry Chu said that.

No clue, news on Bandai at Toy Fair is currently very low. There was alot of secrecy, since photos weren't allowed.

HLJ.com have updated with images of the SD FiGUART line. They appear to be simple figures which can be switched between 2 action poses. Ideal for those with a favourite character from the show but who doesn't like the action figures.

    http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BAN922814
Captain Gundam (firing wrist cannons or standing ready with rifle and shield)

    http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BAN922841
Zero the Winged Knight (casting spell or flying)

    http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BAN922842
Bakunetsumaru (offensive stance or defensive stance)

    http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BAN922843
Zapper Zaku (aiming machine guns or armed with gatling and heathawk. Have to say, after getting a great figure Zapper looks pretty poor this time round)

    http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BAN922844
Grappler Gouf (heat saber and shield or aiming missile arm. Complete opposite to Zapper, Grappler actually looks better here then his poor action figure)

    http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BAN922845
Destroyer Dom (aiming bazooka or wielding heathawk and chainsaw)

I like the Baku figure the best. His pose is the coolest.

Baku is definetly cool, probably the best of the 6. Captain certainly has more attitude then his action figure and Zero's summoning pose is pretty cool. The DA generals are too similar though, they could have given them more standout poses.

'Monocle' of Altered States Magazine has provided reports on Bandai's SEED and SD showings since no photos were allowed.

    SD- http://www.alteredstatesmag.com/toyfair_2004/bandai-sd-gundam.php

    SEED and general Gundam- http://www.alteredstatesmag.com/toyfair_2004/bandai-gundam.php

Some interesting nuggets. Baku and Entengo sound cool and its very nice to finally have an explanation about Dom's Gallop (too bad it won't be released, though I wouldn't be suprised to see it pop up later). Gold Captain is intriguing. Many thanks to Monocle for providing these reports.

Would it be too much to ask for some discussion in this thread? Currently, its just me adding news and Duke replying to it (by the way, thanks, Duke). Surely there are others interested...
