Some of that stuff is inaccurate. Rocket doesn't treat Groot like a slave at all. They are more like partners in crime.

Neat. It's going to be "fun" trying to spot cameos and learning about the ones I missed.

This will be one of those that people will buy on Blu-ray just to pause the film so that they can spot all the cameos, I can tell.

I really want my Howard the Duck reference or cameo. It's just too irresistible. Honestly though, yeah I think we might see all kinds of good stuff to debate and discuss. I'm going to bet on a hint at the Inhumans since they are on the Marvel shortlist.

That would be kinda cool. I read he just appeared in that Hulk cartoon in the Collector's collection.

True and true. I was thinking a Beta Ray Bill cameo.

The guys who worked on alot of MARVEL animated stuff are working on Thor 3, so heck yeah there almost has to be either an appearance from Bill or Enchantress and Surtur. Honestly, I think they owe us Enchantress and Surtur more than Bill right now, and maybe we'll see some of what they had in store for us in Avengers: EMH season 3, cause that was supposed to be the "Supernatural" season and the subplots with Omora and Surtur were left in the air. So this film can be sweet revenge for all that.

Hmm, I wonder if Marvel Studios is planning to surprise con-goers and screen the movie at their SDCC panel.

Sometimes big movies do get screened at Comic-Con. Scott Pilgrim screened one year. Another year, Tropic Thunder screened there and I got to see it. Dredd 3D screened there in 2012.

    7/11:
So a clip show more likely. But I mean, y'know could be a big secret screening at a different time and venue.

Hmm, what did they screen last year? I think they showed the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot. Can't think of any movies.

    7/15: Film-Review.net has a 21:45 Q&A with Kevin Feige. Good stuff.

7/16: Stitch Kingdom spills the beans on some cameos per end credits.
    • If true, the greenman should be happy.

For clarification, the screenings I mentioned were offsite events that took place during Comic-Con, but were not like official "comic-con" programming like say the Agents of SHIELD pilot was. I forget what screened last year if anything. But sometimes a big geek title will make it out there for Comic-Con to cater to that audience.

The Tropic Thunder screening was especially cool because it had an original introduction by Jack Black, Ben Stiller, and Robert Downey Jr.

Feige on getting Brolin for Thanos and holding back on showing the end credit teasers
    Great story.

Early reviews are starting to pop in, and what do you know: they're all positive! It looks like Marvel has another critical hit on their hands - now, lets see if they can turn that into financial success.

Of course the 100 percent fresh rating was not to last. But, judging by the quality of some of the rotten reviews, I don't think we have much to worry about:

Yeah, I get the feeling most of the negatives are from people who never planned to like it anyway.

And keep in mind "most of the negatives" doesn't mean much. At 93% on 57 Rotten Tomatoes reviews, that's only 4 negative reviews. One ends with saying a generally unknown actor is on his way to playing one of the all-time iconic characters.
