Agreed, one of my favorite movie scenes.

Rififi is the only one of these movies I've seen in either match, so I'm only voting to give it my support. The other movies in match 5 are ranked in the order I want to watch them (assuming I'd watch them at all):

    Match 5:

    1. Rififi
    2. On the Waterfront: Yeah, I need to see this one.
    3. The Shaggy D.A.
    4. Planet 51

    Passing on match 6

    The Shaggy DA 16
    Planet 51 11

    Lost World 12
    Munich 11
    Forgetting Sarah Marshall 9
    Battle of Algiers 8

On the Waterfront, Lost World and Munich advance, Shaggy DA and Rififi are in a tiebreaker.

T.B. Rififi (Totally one of the all-time greats. I think my second-favorite foreign language film (unless Spirited Away counts), and one of my top Noirs as well - and I love Noir!)

    1. Talented Mr. Ripley (Awesome.)
    2. To Catch a Thief (Hitchcock!)
    3. Broken Blossoms (Don't know it.)
    4. DBZ

To Catch a Thief- I need to watch it again, because I haven't seen it since I was a kid.
    The Talented Mr. Ripley
    Broken Blossoms
    Dragonball Z Movie 5: Cooler's Revenge

The Trouble With Harry- Shirley MacClaine is a favorite of mine. A funny Hitchcock film.
Howl's Moving Castle- Not one of Miyazaki's best, but I love Howl, such a strange unique hero. A little effete, emo, but still strange.
    Land of the Lost
    Ultimate Avengers 2

TB: Rififi. It's one of those movies that does everything right.

As for the current matches, I'm afraid I have to pass.

    1. Our Hospitality (One of my favorite Keatons!)
    2. Airplane II (Liked the first.)
    3. Great Mouse Detective (Well-known.)
    4. Rocky (Boring as hell.)

    1. Incredibles (Duh.)
    2. Shark Tale (Pity vote.)
    3. Tokyo Story (Pretty good!)
    4. Prince of Egypt (Loved it as a kid!)

I'll be going to Israel for the next 10 days, so here's some votes on upcoming matches:

    MONDAY
    1. Rosemary's Baby (One of my favorite horror movies!)
    2. Shawshank
    3. Vampire Killers (Great Polanski film, though it's clearly outmatched here.)
    4. Big Fat Liar

    Pass

    TUESDAY
Pass, I assume RoboCop is safe.

    1. Borat (Epic. A dude goes around pretending to be a stereotype, just to see people's reactions, and get it on film. The brilliant part is that, except for Borat and crew, everyone's actions in the film are genuine.)
    2. Usual Suspects (A bit hard to follow, but good.)
    3. Superman Returns
    4. Freaky Friday

    WEDNESDAY
    1. Lady Vanishes
    2. Batman '66
    3. Bender's Game (My least favorite of the Futurama movies, though all right.
    4. American Tail

    Pass.

    THURSDAY
    1. Limelight (Not Chaplin's best, drags a bit in the middle, but the beginning and ending parts are beautiful.)
    2. Lost Boys
    3. Evil Dead II
    4. Alvin

    1. Full Metal
    2. Wild Strawberries
    3. Ichabod and Mr. Toad (It's a threat, but I can't put it in last.)
    4. Joe's Apartment

    FRIDAY
    1. Metropolis (REALLY wanna see this.)
    2. Arsenic (Fun!)
    3. Dr. Mabuse
    4. Dr. Phibes

    Pass.

    FRIDAY
    1. Dusk Till Dawn
    2. New Groove
    4. Meet the Parents
    4. Flywheel

    1. Aladdin
    2. Fistful (Weakest of Dollars Trilogy by far.)
    3. Diabolique
    4. DBZ

    SATURDAY
    1. American Psycho (HELL YES!!)
    2. Witch's Ghost (One of my favorite Scoobys!)
    3. All Quiet (Supposed to be amazing.)

    1. Chasing Amy
    2. Van Helsing
    3. Mummy Returns (I hope this is not a threat.)
    4. Naruto

    SUNDAY
    1. Shoot the Piano Player (I'm the only one who will vote for this.)
    2. Few Dollars More (El Indio!)
    3. Lawrence of Arabia (Need to see.)
    4. One Piece

    Pass.

    MONDAY
    1. Midnight in Paris (Best of the year!)
    2. Dangerous Mind (Heh.... I have this from Netflix, and have for several days, but haven't had the chance to watch it yet.... And won't 'til I get back.... Heh....)
    3. Wasn't There (Not the Coens' best, though still great.)
    4. X3

    Pass.

    4. Nashville

    1. Gold Rush
    2. French Connection (Best chase scene ever.)

    WEDNESDAY
    Pass.

    1. Baby
    2. Dracula

    Our Hospitality

The Incredibles- Honestly one of Pixar's top 5.
Prince of Egypt- Early Dreamworks stuff was pretty good.

I'm guessing crade's computer is still down. Kind've a shame as there isn't much going on in the forum at this time, but I'm far too busy to get into any opinion based arguments at the moment. ;)
