Hm.... Can't say I'm too thrilled by that tiebreaker system, to be honest - how about adapting Blankments Megatiebreaker system? It's worked so far....

As for the matches - haven't seen A-Team, doesn't appeal to me. Have seen Bleach, doesn't appeal to me (and I never made it up to that episode anyway). If you get a tie, you can count me as voting Bleach, otherwise, don't.

And as for the second one.... Dang! Great Avatar episode v. great Spider-Man episode?? I seriously can't decide.... I think I'll go The Blue Spirit, even if only because of the ridiculous censors in TAS. Plus it had an EPIC ending!

I have seen episodes when we left it on Nicktoons. They were good, it's just it doesn't seem that different from any fantasy ever written. It just seems like Star Wars with martial arts. Zuko seems somehwat interesting though.

Well, what sets Avatar aside is good writing and even better characters. I can see where you're coming from, though - and yes, Zuko is my favorite character aside from Aang himself, and it's VERY close too. ;)
If I recall correctly, we got The Blue Spirit, Seige of the North Part Two, City of Walls and Secrets, Lake Laogai, Crossroads of Destiny, and Southern Raiders nominated from Avatar. All of those are amazing. (Of course, you have to watch the series in order....)

You named my Megatiebreaker system after me? I feel so special!

Anyways, I'll vote for The A-Team: A Lease With an Option to Die and Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Blue Spirit.

I'll bear in mind that Avatar is supposed to be brilliant. Hopefully I'll get around to watching it one of these days.

I think we should provide brief plot synopses for the episodes we nominated as and when they show up in the competition. That way we can help those who haven't seen the episode(s) to choose between ones they haven't seen on the basis of the synopses.

They are informed about how the city has been keeping the war a secret from its citizens, and are warned by the loyal chancellor, Long Feng, not to make a disturbance. Wow, why's Avatar keep getting all these tough matches? Hm.... I'll vote on that one later.

For the second, Futurama, easily. 'Cause that show is AMAZING!!!! And the first episode actually WORKS as a hooker!

*random guy steals Fry's bike* "Happy New Year!"

*Fry wants to make phone call, but in future, there are suicide booths*
"Would you like long and agonizing, or quick and painless?"
Fry: "Yeah, I'd like to make a collect call."
"You have chosen long and agonizing."
    Bender: "Good choice."

    So great! :anime:

By the way, for those who still need to see Avatar, I'm pretty sure the whole series is up on Netflix. You've gotta watch it - there's a reason this series won the Animated Series Countdown right here on this site a while back.
(Oh yeah, and WOW, that summary is VERY spoilery!)

I'll provide my own synopses for my nominations.

That summary is actually for "A Better World part 1", so here's my summery for part 2:

While the Justice Lords claim the Justice League Watchtower for their own, the Justice League find themselves trapped in the Lords' universe, under the watchful gaze of Batman's counterpart. The Justice League will have to have their wits about them in order to escape, find the injured Hawkgirl and defeat their doppelgangers back in their own universe. But can they do all that on their own?

I'm going with "A Better World part 2" for the first one. Pass on the second one.

Justice League and pass because the episode was not one of Brave and the Bold's greatest and it's already winning.
