I shall become a Bat.
Oh, come on, people! It's my birthday! Vote for Spidey!!!!
Batman's leading by one. come on people! Vote Spidey! oh, and happy birthday, Spideyfan!
I'm back! Please don't forget to count my vote for Batman! And happy birthday, SpideyFan914!
Hello there, how ya doing?
Spider-Man is better than Batman, he's not the semi-perfect human Batman is
Spider-Man gets my vote easily
Not bad. How about you?
As for Spider-Man being 'better', well that's subjective. But both of them screw up all the time, so I'd hardly call either of them 'semi-perfect'.
Look at Batman's track record in recent years: Abandoned Gotham for months during the No Man's Land incident; made secret anti-JLA plans which were stolen and used by Ra's Al Ghul, nearly leading to the apocolypse; built Brother Eye to spy on his fellow heroes, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of metas when Eye was reprogrammed to control the OMACs; he's dead...not what I would describe as perfect.
Still, The Bat is getting my vote. Sorry for ruining your birthday, Spideyfan.
Thanks, and I did!
So.... who are you voting for?
Isn't it obvious? My brother of course
hey, spidey, r u counting Cartooncartoons vote for spidey from yesterday? Or does he have to revote today. cause if you do, Spidey's up by one, if you don't, it's a tie right now.
I don't think it would be fair to count that vote just to boost Spidey's points. Jeez, didn't think you guys would take this so seriously.
(Happy B-Day Spidey!)
i was just curious. although i'm pretty sure spidey told him to revote.
Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but technically speaking, there's no way of knowing he got the message or even checked back since then, and, uh.... without that it's a tie.
Spideyfan, I don't think it's a tie. I got 8-7 in favor of Batman.
And so, after the last match in 8-7, it's time to announce the WINNERS!!!
Congrats to Spidey, and thanks to all those who participitated! It's been a blast - but wait, there's more!
Look out for the Greatest Comic Book Supervillain Ever, due to come out after the to-begin-after-my-shower Greatest Hitchcock Movie Ever! But wait - there's more!
If you keep waiting, then eventually, I'm going to be doing a Greatest Marvel Character Ever, and cradleman's going to be doing a Greatest DC Character Ever! But wait - there's more!
After that sometime, Mr. Wednesday is going to be hosting a Greatest Female Comic Book Character Ever! And finally, to wrap it all up (maaaaaaybe!), I'll be hosting a Greatest Comic Book Character Ever!!!
So just because this one's over, doesn't mean comic fans are done here!
(Gee, I sound a walking advertisement....)
But, until then - 'Nuff Said!
Very great Comic Super Hero ever thread
And The Cartoon, I recounted and came out with the same results as last time.
I still count Batman. Nonetheless,
I am a little disappointed in the results, but not a whole lot. The originality of the character didn't come into play enough. As much as I love those 4, I don't think that being the most famous makes you the greatest. Still, they are great characters and deserve the recognition.
Maybe you're counting someone incorrectly? A lot of people weighed them against each other - it's possible you (or I) misread someone's post.
You're support for Superman kind of detracts from this statement....
I don't mean that offensively, I just really want to know why you love Superman so much already!!
Someone apparently hasn't read All-Star Superman. Despite all the different adaptations and interpretations, Superman, is above all, the epitome of the superhero. Without him, comics would be completely different.
And overall, he represents the everyman's dream: To be a man capable of performing the greatest of feats. Also, he's not meant to be the kind of hero that Spidey and Bats are. He's a superpowered being that tries his best to better the world, whether it's a world crisis or the problems of one person. He's not an average man trying to be a hero, he's a hero who tries to be like an average man. He's an idealist, and given the path the DCU's going, it's definitely not something to complain about.
