Ars Technica has an interesting report regarding Google's social network. The head of Google+ unexpectedly stepped down from the company recently and the higher-ups intend to cut down on its resources, hopefully including its forced integration into YouTube.

But that's not all! According to these statistics, Google+ is not only failing behind Facebook (WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY behind, in fact), but it can't even compete with other social networks like Pinterest or Twitter. It only has a leg up over LinkedIn, and that's not saying much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Google+ just ups and croaks down the road.

Finally! All those angry people on YouTube will now be happy because the Google+ integration led to many complaints and it only has a fraction as much users, compared to Facebook.

This is good news, but I'm not going to believe anything until it's official. I have a YouTube account and Google+ account and I've found it annoying.

Shame, I'm one of the very few who didn't mind the Google+ integration on Youtube.

Well, you're in luck. You will probably see those reaction videos one day.

Well it looks like Google's attempt to sink its teeth into social networks has failed and thank god for that. I am one of many users who absolutely hates the Google+ integration with Youtube. It has literally screwed up everything. If it's about to go soon then good riddance.

I didn't mind either. I liked how it kept track of the comments that I had left on videos.

Lol and I remember all of the pretentious people (talking about the people I knew, not Google+ supporters in general) saying "Facebook will soon fall, Google+ will reign supreme!". Even just last year they were telling me how Google is going to fix it up and still make it a success.

Now the reverse of that is possible (fall of Google+ and reign of Facebook).

I find it funny how Google thought they could make the next Facebook. Instead, they wound up making the next MySpace.

It hasn't stopped them from hijacking YouTube and changing it for the worse, IMO.

I still think the livid hate for Google+ is a little silly.

I wonder what will happen to YouTube once Google+ finishes for good.

They'll probably reuse the code in Google+ in other Google services, they might add circles and more social networking aspects into YouTube, who knows.

Because no one expects the changes that will happen...
