Does anyone know where I can find a good-quality version of the AAP Looney Tunes logo that is unfaded?

atch for the AAP logo 8 seconds into this presentation. It is faded.

(This is what the unfaded version would've looked like.)

The above image suggests the background is a greenish-bordering blue, and the a.a.p. lettering is orange-yellow.

There were other variations on this logo, mainly due to quality control and other individual TV station prints:
*A blue-tint version of this logo existed on Daffy Duck & Egghead. I know, because I've seen this on (W)TBS, TNT and KPTV-12.
*A silent version of this logo existed on certain prints of Super Rabbit. One of these was carried by WUAB-TV of Cleveland, OH.

*One instance has the cartoon's complete original opening audio over the AAP logo and Blue Ribbon titles.
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn27c5lrr7c (the AAP logo is faded, in this case, since there is a lack of the red channel in the logo.)
*Sometimes, a snippet of the 1937 Merrie Melodies music plays before splicing to the usual 1941-45 Merrie Melodies music. On actual 1937 cartoons such as Uncle Tom's Bungalow and Streamlined Greta Green‚Äč, the original music resumes from the spliced point.

I also want to ask you all: how many of you still have the rare 8mm filmreels AAP had released for 8mm film projectors?

That picture looks pretty much how I remember it. But I think if you're seeing a greenish tint in there, it may even be a signal reception thing. I remember it being more blue. It's still intact on the occasional Popeye cartoon too. I think the color may have held better on those. It certainly was not pinkish like it looked on a lot of the later video transfers. Although I think Daffy Duck did have a red head. That was kind of odd.

ith the help of Sony Vegas, I turned this AAP logo from a dull greyish-blue to a beautiful greenish-blue. It would be more difficult though if the logo was quite as red as many of them appeared to be.

THAT'S how I remember it. Though probably not as color-saturated, and it of course would have been covered with ice-skating type vertical film scratch lines (WGN in Chicago started running those cartoons in the late 1950s and I don't think they started getting new prints of them until the mid-1980s)!

@neff That AAP print is faded. The original one is purple.

The AAP logo original is purple.

Streamlined Greta Green only exist as dubbed version.
