Last July, Hulk Hogan sued Gawker Media in a $100 million lawsuit for posting a sex tape featuring the wrestler. The trial, which occurred in March (which you can watch here as an archived livestream), wound up being more rewarding for Hogan than anyone expected--Gawker now owed Hogan $115 million, which they couldn't afford. They attempted to appeal, which failed, bringing their fee up to $140 million. Finally, today, Gawker filed for bankruptcy and was quickly acquired by Ziff-Davis Univision. Now all of Gawker's blogs--Kotaku, io9, Lifehacker, etc.--are under new management. UPDATE: Bought by Univision, not Ziff-Davis (see below).
