last week the popular SBSP game battle for bikini bottom was rentable on gamefly but this week i discover that it's been removed!

    why would they do that?!

    the game is VERY popular!

not to mention all the other spongebob & nick games are still on there, which makes this even weirder...

meaning that it has nothing to do with the license itself

could it be that there's not enough supply to meet demand?

whatever the case, i hope this is temporary!

so for anyone who wants to rent the game:

well you're out of luck right now

No SpongeBob game was ever popular, I don't think. Why would this be?
Also, shouldn't this be in the Video Game forum?

    this game is VERY popular:

just look at all the petitions online asking heavy iron studios to remake it

also i posted the thread here because this concerns spongebob

I'm not familiar with Gamefly's system, but it's possible they have to abide by contracts and licensing limits. Did this game have voice acting? Perhaps there was a problem with royalties for an actor that caused it to be pulled, or even something as simple as the rating needing changed.

Titles on Netflix cycle all the time, so it's possible Gamefly could be similar.

hmm i never thought of that!

i think the game had the original voice actors from the show

however if that's the reason then what explains all the other nicktoon & spongebob games still being available?

there's gotta be more to it...

like i said it's possible that the demand exceeds the supply
