It's TWO shows, Hellfire and Legion.

Legion (as the name implies) will be a solo series about Xavier's mentally-ill son from the comics, while Hellfire will be about an agent trying to bring down the Hellfire Club and (from the sounds of it) Emma Frost.

Legion will air on FX while Hellfire will air on Fox.

    Marvel is co-producing.

Hmmm, not one but two. I guess they worked all legalities. I still kinda wonder if next year, we'll hear something about the Fantastic Four rights. I think the 7 yr deal is binding, but I do wonder if Marvel had a little quid pro quo on this.

I'm disappointed I wanted X-Factor both of these sound pretty awful.

Intriguing Singer and Loeb are also attached as producers.

I'm not feeling Legion. Hellfire, a little.

Hmm, unless Hellfire is set before X-Men: First Class or we're dealing with another power hungry mutant that is not Emma Frost or it's non-canon to the umm... current X-Men canon... Whatever.

So, um, wow. That's pretty huge news, especially since some people were under the impression that Marvel would never want anything to do with FOX ever again.

Unfortunately...I'm not excited for either show. Legion is one of my least favorite X characters, and Hellfire Club is a semi-interesting villain group. Will need some talented people to get me hyped.

Well, this was certainly a surprise to see .

Definitely curious to see where things go with this series, and what Marvel allowing Fox to go ahead with developing TV shows and what seems to be a new and better working relationship between the two might lead to. Also curious if these shows might actually be canon with the movies and their continuity o_O.

While Legion sounds interesting, and probably likely to be a very trippy series, I'm also a lot more interested in Hellfire if only because it's focused on the Hellfire Club and it's mythology, as well as curiosity as to who might appear in it. I wonder if they could get January Jones to reprise Emma :)?

Yeah, I'm not interested in either of these pitches in the slightest. I'm just imagining them trying to do a Hannibal-like series through an X-Men lens. Whenever Fox is involved with a comic property being brought to tv, they seem to want to make it a procedural or a copycat of another show that works (e.g., Gotham, Lucifer, their Punisher pitch).

I suppose this is my wake up call to catch a few episodes of Fargo and The Unusuals.

Hmm, she was pretty good in
what I've actually seen of her but I'm still not on board with these series. It will take much doing to get me there.

Cool. Be interesting to see if she's playing a named character or just someone original who just so happens to have powers similar to Rogue's. I imagine her character might be a audience point-of-view character who ends up getting stuck with Legion somehow.

Yikes. Showrunners and co-creators Evan Katz & Manny Coto have exited "Hellfire" to work on "24: Legacy" and writers Patrick McKay and John D. Payne, who developed the series with Katz and Coto and were slated to script the pilot, have also left the show. Fox is still committed and wants to get it completely right.

Fox CEO said unlikely this fall, could still possibly be a premiere midseason, but probably as early as a year from now.

Bummer, it would of been so amazing to see it this year, but Next year still sounds pretty cool, just as long as things don't drift in production of course.

Fox and FX seem to be taking the Gotham approach with these 2 shows.
