Average joe will see the new Pixar film over a new Fantastic Four anyway.

WB set up a date for both Green Lantern 2 and of course MOS 2 as well, and we see what happened there.

I've read a couple of his scripts that never got filmed. I mean they were OK, but I wouldn't call them great scripts.

Not saying he's a terrible writer, but I've never found his work to be inspired. X-Men 3 was a huge letdown. I realize he's not the only cook in the kitchen, but still...weak.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith...I mean, it was a success, but I found it to be a very weak, mediocre script. The whole appeal of that movie is the real-life chemistry of Pitt and Jolie and them playing badass secret agents. I guess sort of a decent premise, but the script itself was a weak script.

Of the films I have seen of his like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Jumper, and First Class, they were all just entertaining enough. No, the scripts were not memorable enough, but I personally think they can surpass the quality of the first two FF films. This is pretty much all I can hope for. If Trank fudges it up with poor direction and the cast don't really do the best, then oh well. The rumor of FOX getting cold feet and wanting to replace the entire cast and crew would go to be a better chance of saving face rather than losing millions. They better pray Apes and DOFP pulls in half a billion each.

DOFP has a budget of 225 mil +. It must make 500-700 mil world wide.

"Oy vey" about says it all. Fox is going to have to dump a lot of time and money onto making sure that the script is ready before the first is even finished.

Is Fox really that desperate to keep the Fantastic Four license? Do they not have enough faith in the X-Franchise alone ?

I had enough reservations that they were rushing the movie to begin with, and this news certainly doesn't help matters .

Hitch was the original artist on The Ultimates. He's actually a very good artist.

When you consider that Fox & Disney each own a handful of networks, there is that competitive juice at the corporate level. Fox doesn't want to let Disney have all of Marvel's movie properties. Yet. However, as people have described, it sounds like they'll flop with this itineration of the FF as well. Idiots.

The first two didn't flop (they were terrible but both turned profits) and literally outside of the fact that certain people don't like the cast or the fact that Marvel is not making it, there's literally nothing her to prove "it's gonna flop".

So the guy that was gonna become The Leader (Incredible Hulk) is now the Mole Man? I guess Marvel Studios will have to recast him in they ever do a Hulk sequel.

Incredible Hulk came out in 2008. It's 2014 now.

A Hulk sequel wouldn't come out until like 2017 at the earliest.

I don't think we are ever going to see The Leader.

Phase 3 will definitely have the following:

    Avengers 3
    Cap 3
    Thor 3
    Ant-Man

So that leaves about one or two more spots available for phase 3. One of those spots I would say has to be Doctor Strange with all the talk he's been getting as of late.

Now it just seems unlikely to throw The Leader in there as a throwaway villain. So where would they incorporate him?

There's really nothing tying Tim Blake Nelson to any of these movies at this point.

So he's moving away from a character with a big head to... Mole Man. Okay :p.

Bryan Hitch on costume design is interesting. I hope the costumes go for more of the Ultimate FF look than something "super-realistic" like I fear they're going for with this movie.

Mole Man is one of the lamest Marvel villains EVER. Fox, please, no...
