I would be excited for this...........if Fox weren't still involved.

They need to at least keep Chiklis around as Thing. He was the best part of the movies. The rest of cast, yeah, I think should be retooled. Especially Doom, who was wasted.

Yes, FOX. We all saw how successful the Hulk and Punisher reboots were. Look...a reboot worked for Batman cause it made 8 years later. You can't reboot something that was released two years ago. It's too soon and audiences aren't gonna care.

I thought Ben and Johnny were cast pretty well... Reed was.. okay, not that great, and could have been better; but no where near as bad as Jessica Alba as Sue.

The thing about FF is they're more of the paranormal team who get tied in with grand sci-fi stories... they're not grounded in realism like Iron Man or Dark Knight are.

    I called it!

As much as I hate it when Fox screws creativity but they better not screw up Fantastic Four again. And please, make Dr. Doom threatning. He was a joke in the previous films. A disgrace to the character in my opinion.

Forget Dr. Doom. I want to see the Fantastic Four fight off an invasion by the Skrull.

Or now that I think of it, they could pull a Dark Knight for the sequel. Just have the hero's main villain for thr sequel.

Actually a lot of people like the Hulk reboot. Punisher one not so much.

I agreed they should keep Chiklis as well as Iaon and Evans. Alba well she can be replace.

Replace Doom and Sue. I thought Richards looked and acted the part well.

And although TIH didn't do as well as hoped, it didn't outright flop like Punisher War Zone did.

Alba was cast simply because she was hot, but I thought the rest of the cast was good. If they're gonna recast everyone, though, I hope they don't try to make them all twentysomethings or even teenagers...

I think any remake of the FF should avoid the storyline of the first movie--no Doctor Doom--and should deal with an invasion from space, IMO. Skrulls

Hm. I wonder why. Weren't the first two films, fanboys not withstanding, successful at the box office?

I actually didn't mind the first 2 movies (not even Jessica Alba as Sue Storm; honestly the only thing I really wasn't feeling was their sticking Doom along with the 4 on their cosmic voyage), but I can go along with this, provided they don't make the Fantastic Four 'Batman dark'. The FF was never meant to be dark. Keep it bright, colorful, goofy and fun. Keep its' tongue firmly in cheek. Don't Dark Knight it up. Please.

And I kind of hope they don't use Doom this time around; IMO, he didn't need to be in the 2nd movie either. But then, I was never a big Dr. Doom fan to begin with.

Okay, this is getting rediculous. It seems like Fox is now doing a reboot for anything that has not met their expectations. How about listening to what fan complaints are about the movies and fix it for the next one? Now it means they have to completely recast the characters (and to be honest, everyone but Alba was perfect, so this is going to suck, especially for Thing), and redo an origin story and what not. I personally loved both movies, but come on people, JUST WRITE IT BETTER IF YOU WANT FANBOYS TO LIKE IT!!!!

Knee-jerk reactions from irresponsible studio suits never bode well for any film. I skipped Rise of the Silver Surfer. I didn't have a problem with Jessica Alba as Sue. I had a problem with tying Dr. Doom's origin in with the FF's, which is totally wrong. The scribblers that came up with that idea didn't do their research. Doom should've been saved for a later film.

Marvel should move FF away from Fox and move it to Paramount or Universal.

Oh, I'm sure they'd love to take the movie-rights back for their own studio. Rights are just tied up unfortunately.

And yeah... this doesn't seem like such a hot idea to me.

    'no Chris, no Chiklis'

No sale, then. Whatever one thinks of the movies (I liked them), they were perfectly cast.

So this is the fallout from Batman Begins and Casino Royale. Now EVERYTHING has to be a reboot.

The Punisher reboot could of worked, it was just a victim of Lionsgate's stupidity. The biggest problem with the Hulk reboot was no one knew if it was a sequel or a new take.

    I don't believe this for a second.

The movies made money, that's all these studios care about. If a movie series is doing well, a sudden reboot throwing away a working formula is just nonsensical. One thing people liked about the FF movies is that they were family friendly without being a groan fest. I'd like them to recast Sue and Dr. Doom BUT that's about all I'd change.

I agree with a Skrull Invasion being the next feat for the FF to tackle, along with Sue Storm's pregnancy since these movies always need a real world issue to deal with while all the action goes down.
