For those who don't know, fanmakes are fanfics in which the author adapts the storyline and plot from a movie, game or TV show and use their favorite cartoon/Anime characters to represent the characters from said story they're adapting. If you've been to FF.net's Cartoon X-Over section or read my fanfic, Code Lyoko: The Rewrite, then you know what I'm talking about.

But what do you think of Fanmakes overall?

Me? I dislike most fanmakes because of how they tend to copy the plot from the story being adapted word for word and treat it like a screenplay. That's why my fanmakes tend to be different from the original source material in a slight way or drastic way.

    What about you?

I've done a few of them, mostly taking the characters from Scooby Doo and putting them in the plots of various movies and such.

They're interesting ideas, and it's interesting to write stories like that because they're different then the usual fan fics, whatever show or movie they're based on.
