I watched up until Timmy messed up his father's office. That killed it for me. :(

Why is it that I can't stand watching children punished for no reason while actual naughty children are out doing who-knows-what, and they're not being hit for it?

    shhh..

well, to be honest, it had timmy make a notation it was one of the longest running series he was in. he wrote something on the blackboard. he looked a bit like bart simpson mouthwise. they made jabs at barney and flanders, and vicky broke the nuclear reactors and flooded the town with waste, so the parody of barney ended up having 3 eyes as timmy left the channel.

no, i didn't see any rockos in this one. maybe it was all just a rumor.

Something funny in the Simpsons parody: Timmy writes "This is the sincerest form of flattery" on the chalkboard.

Go TimRacer, Go GO TimRacer! GOoooo. Strange things happens when Timmy and Vicky are given magical remote controls... Boy Wanda looks pretty nice when she appeared as that maid.

I caught about half of this and DVR some of it. I wasn't aware that this special was going on... Oh well.

I did enjoy they making fun of Speed Racer, Scooby Doo (odd they added in an extra big guy to the gang), and that Dragonball/Mecha Arena thing that had going on towards the end. Also some other strange shows they made fun of caught my eye. Nice piece of work with that human host and then later on with those sock puppets.

Here are some screen caps on ads. Also there are three pans. One is when Vicky stole that Birdguy's Robot, another is the lovely note "Deep Toot" left for Timmy's parents, and finally the channel listings.

    Later.

    (head pokes up)

I actually was watching this last night. (up until the Blues Clues part when my sister threw me out of the living room to watch a video) There was a lot of uneven stuff with the parodies, but from what I saw, they got all the anime stuff right. (well Speed Racer and...well I though "Maho Mushi" was a fusion of DBZ and Yu-Gi-Oh! at the start with all those cards) Also loved the "Timm-ization" of Timmy (about time B:TAS gets the respect it deserved to be parodied) and the Space Ghost and Flinstones parodies....but some of the other parodies definately needed work. (heck, with as formulaic as Rugrats got at the end, this was ripe with parody...yet we got nothing!) OK, that's all for now.

They should've also done a south park parody. I wonder what Timmy would look like there.

Too bad you tuned out-an important part of the plot was Timmy's realization that most cartoon parents are either buffoons or non-existant (including The Fairly OddParents, which they joked about). Both Timmy and the not-so-mysterious "Deep Toot" wanted to make sure Timmy's parents knew that Vicky was responsible for all the things she blamed Timmy for.

It was interesting that all of the shows parodied were cartoons (with the exception of Sesame Street and Blue's Clues, which were parodied in their respective styles). I guess this makes sense in the realm of animation, and it fits the plot, since Timmy would be more likely to be watching cartoons than I Love Lucy reruns, or the cartoon Batman instead of the '60s pow-bang-zoom Batman.

All in all, very fun with funny parodies and a great anti-television message (which is surprising for a television show). Probably one of the best animated things I've ever seen.

I watched this last night. I found it extremely uneven. We start out on resistance members in an oppressive future (Holy "Sitch in Time", Batman!). Then we move to the present with Timmy's destruction exacerbated by Vicky (waiting for it to get funny...and waiting...waiting...). Then we have Timmy's parents trying to discover the truth about Vicky (BTW, am I the only one who couldn't stop rolling their eyes at the "It's a Good Life" by way of 1984-style methods used by Vicky to keep Chester, A.J. and even her parents quiet?). Also, the whole traveling-through-television idea seemed derivative of the weak Stay Tuned. In fact, there was a lot about "Channel Chasers" that was derivative: bleak future ("Father Time"), traveling through television ("Power Mad"), Timmy and Vicky with altering devices ("Deja Vu"). At times, I found it impossible to believe that this was written by Butch and Steve. So what worked?

    - many of the TV parodies, esp. the "Blue's Clues" one (Jason Marsden in the 'Steve' role provided me with the biggest laughs), the "Peanuts" one and the "Scooby-Doo" one.

    - Cosmo's line about animation credits. It's sad, but true.

    - Tootie. I used to not care for her much, but she's grown on me in the last few months, and I loved seeing her, more or less, coming to the rescue.

    - The ending in the future, though even that was derivative of a number of execrable, 'here we go again' horror movie endings.

    Ultimately, I give it a 5.5 (bordering on a 6)

I thought the Blue's Clues spoof was the best. XD I was laughing my head off at that. Same with the Speed Racer one. "OH! AH! UH..."

    10 Remote Controls! ^^

I heard that this was supposed to be an actual theatrical movie. Guess not....curse you, TV Tome and you're misleading info!

Thought this film was pretty funny, even if it relied on parodies heavily (vs. the last film's more original plot).

The Flintstones' bit about wondering why they didn't just keep running if all their cars were powered by feet was amusing (as was the animal-gadgets bit).

Also liked seeing the B:TAS parody (I think Wanda's eyes were meant to be reflective of the way most of the women's eyes look on that show)...

Admit I could've done without the "reindeer chocolate" joke (and a few of the other bodily-function jokes), though the "we've been demoted" line of Wanda's at seeing they're elves was funny...

Was half-hoping to hear the "Internet" line again as a lame excuse... (shrug)

    Anal-retentive observations/notes:

    - "Dimmadelphia Cable" might be a parody of Adelphia cable, a cable company that isn't as big as the two behemoths Comcast and Time-Warner...

    - Timmy's dad must really be stealing cable (or just have it for the local channels), despite the minidish on their house...

    - Adult Timmy must've not wasted time getting married and having kids, since 20 years from now means he'd be only 30. As for who he's married to, my vote is Tootie (from the looks of one of his daughter)...

    - In the United States, there's no over-the-air/broadcast TV channel 1---its airspace got reassigned after World War II to other uses (such as police radio bands, etc.). Guessing there aren't many cable-TV systems that air stuff on their channel 1's, either---they seem particularly fond of using channels 98 or 99 instead, for some reason...

    -B.

This was easily my favorite FOP piece, even though it relied on parodies. Favorite part was Croker's new self, then changing back. "I've created Cold Fusion! I could do good for mankind!"

I loved it! It was really funny and I loved the refs to earlier eps. ("Icky Vicky" and the times Doug Dimmadome ran into Timmy) and all the parodies. The Speed Racer parody reminded me a little of the Speed Racer parody in the Family Guy ep. "The Son Also Draws". A little dissapointing the rumored Rocko, SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron and Tommy Pickles cameos didn't happen, but the film didn't really need them, it's funny enough without any other Nicktoons. Too bad that they didn't parody Futurama and it's cancelation, oh well. Great job and I can't wait for the theatfical FOP film due next year. I hope Trixe and Veronica appear substanualy in that.

Human input. That's what you can blame TV Tome's errors on. Human input. Humans can input whatever they want into a free internet open-source expandable thingy like that, and they can make up whatever information they want!

Just saw it and I have to say that was one of the best mini-movie I've ever seen.(When I mean mini-movie, I mean those movies that are at least 1 hour and 30 minutes long) The story, the animations, the spoofs, everything was great. It was kinda funny when Crocker was cured and was then back to his normal self even though it had nothing to do with the movie. :D My favorite tv takes were Tom & Jerry, Speed Racer, and Mondo Mushi! :anime: I think that there should be a spin-off about Mondo Mushi. I like the ending where Timmy marries Tootie(Only assuming from the fact that Tammy's glasses are like Tootie's...;) ) and have Tommy & Tammy for kids and they have Cosmo & Wanda as fairy godparents.

    This mini-movie deserves an A+

Random Quotes that I really like:
"Of course she's evil! Didn't hear that Chip Skylark song "Icky Vicky"?! What did you think it was about? Pumpkins?!"~Dale Dimmadome
    ".....Yes."~Timmy's Dad

"I don't think you had to have the police involved."~Timmy in Walnuts

"Mondo Mushi! Mondo Mushi! Mondo Mushi!"~Timmy

    "Banzai Bubble!"~Vicky

I just caught this today.. decided to watch it instead of Starcrossed (had it taped ;) ) and wow, this was a great movie. Far better than that other FOP movie that was done not too long ago.

I loved all the tv shows that they parodied. It was just a great, very entertaining movie. Interesting who they hinted Timmy would end up with, and how his kids would get Cosmo and Wanda.. All those notes were great too. "I'm not vicky's sister!" DEEP TOOT. If this ever came on DVD, I'd be very interested in buying it.

    "Channel Chasers" gets an A+.
