I remember I named my bunny Dirtbike, after Doug's sister. It just seemed to fit well.
I named my gerbil Excel (from the anime/manga Excel Saga), and yes, the name does fit.
My sister named her gerbil Mumbles after the penguin from Happy Feet.
Our rabbits are (of course) Buster and Babs.
Not exactly a pet, but a skunk who took up residence in our barn has been tagged as Bradley (from KND).....
I had a rabbit named Rin. I named her after the girl from Inuyasha, since they were both left for dead.
The rabbit was found in a cage, in a dumpster. Left there by some shining example of humanity.
Well currently, I own a chinchilla named Chu-Chu. (Chu for short). His name comes from the dog on One Piece; Chou-Chou. And although spelled differently, it basically sounds the same.
My cat, who passed away about three years ago, was named Lady, as in Lady and the Tramp. I also had a friend who named her two goldfish Cosmo and Wanda.
Not named after a cartoon character directly, we named our new dog, Dash after going thru a list of lost dogs. The lost dog who we named ours after was very likely named after Dash from the Incredibles.
My family has a cockatiel that was named Snoopy because he was (and still is) a nosy little thing, getting into whatever he shouldn't. Also, this year, we got a new female, who we named Izzy. I'm not sure where Dad got the name from, but a couple of months later, Teletoon started airing Total Drama Island, which has a character of the same name (picture) so I thought that was cool.
Our family had a dog, a black lab named Odie from Garfield.
My old corgi dog was named Odie from Garfield too!
Me and my family used to name a cat named Simba (sadly, he died a few years ago) and just 4 years ago, we named one of our cats named Casper.
I haven't, but my grandparents have a cat named Sylvester.
I got my cat in 2000, when Pokemania was at its peak. I badly wanted to name him Meowth, though I had to settle for naming him Pal, after Arthur's dog. Happy to say I still have him, almost 17 years later.
At one point I (well, my sister really) had a rabbit named Camus after the Aquarius gold saint from Saint Seiya. My sisters were really into that show.
Oh I also have a turtle and it's called Leonardo, because of course it is.
My sister actually named my current dog Scooby, though I usually spell his name as Skewvie just to throw off people.
I currently have two cats named Tom and Gerri (pronounced Jerry.) Gerri is a girl so it's short for Geraldine. My Dad named them after the cartoon, Tom and Gerri. They are both brother and sister (they came from the same litter.) They will be 11 in May 2017. Here's a picture of them:
The white one with the black spots is Gerri and The white one with the orangey/brown spots is Tom.
Wow this thread is old... but sure, why not.
My cat is named after the original version of Harley Quinn, not that fake one with the hair dye. Though we just call her kitty.
I named one of my dogs Scooby (from Scooby Doo). He died a couple of months ago.
