If they're still keeping Del Toro and Gaiman as director and writer, this might end up beating Avengers as my most anticipated Marvel movie.

We definitely need to see this movie, but I'm surprised it trumped ANT-MAN so quickly. Must be that they're waiting on Wright and Favreau to lead up to Avengers 2.

Not sure about Del Toro, I'd rather see HELLBOY 3, before this. Unless he can do these films back to back like Speilberg or Eastwood and get them released in the same year . . .

Not a Doc Strange fan but if they make it I will most likely see it.

Of course, this is the property that Disney wants to do! The magic one!

Well, it makes sense and honestly I think Dr. Strange is probably the last Marvel character that can carry a franchise without creating alot of stuff from scratch.

Except that sadly, Del Toro has recently said that he'll probably never make Hellboy 3, so this could potentially be a good substitute.

Ya know what I'd really love to see someday is a Defenders film. Only problem is that Fox owns Silver Surfer.

Anyway, with Loki already setup, this is practically already shoehorned in. They would just need to establish villains like Mephisto and Blackheart, but Strange had so many of his own demonic villains, those guys were third tier to the sorcerer supreme. I wonder now if Whedon will givethe character a shout out in Avengers. Probably not if he doesn't quite exist yet.

I don't really mind Dempsey much, obviously he's prepared on the doctor end. My first choice wouldve been Ed Norton actually, followed by Viggo Mortensen.

Mephisto is owned by Sony, so he won't be showing up. If Sony is allowed to mix their properties, I wonder if we'll have Mephisto making some deals with Spider-Man to explain the differences between Raimi's trilogy and the new movie that's coming out.

So as of right now, we're looking at "phase 2" as:

    Iron Man 3- May 23, 2013

    Thor 2- Nov 15, 2013

    Captain America 2- April 4, 2014

    Dr. Strange- 2014

    Ant Man- 2015? TBD

Leaves out Nick Fury, Inhumans, Guardians of the Galaxy films. I do think Strange and Thor 2 will open up more of the cosmic and mystical realms simultaneously. I kinda hope Iron Man 3 alludes to Mandarin and Fin Fang Foom. His knowledge of science and sorcery is close to Dr. Doom level which will make him a huge threat.

So the latest theory is it seems Zak Penn may be working on the script for Dr. Strange. When someone asked him a question about his credit on Marvel's The Avengers, he tweeted this
So it seems he's doing a pass on Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer's script then the director will do his/her own thing. :p
