I would like if Brother Voodoo becomes a supporting hero that shows up in different films. He can't carry his own film, but if they do a Blade remake or Netflix series, he'd fit in nicely. We sure are getting lots of supernatural character adaptions lately.

It's going to be interesting to see how Strange and Mordo's relationship plays out in future movies...

When they keep talking about the forces that Kaecilius contacts, I can't help but think Dormammu .

8/31: Just found out that the Prelude Infinite Comic is releasing digitally on September 7 through Marvel and Comixology and focuses on Kaecilius.

9/7: Revised foreign release date. It will start October 25 for the U.K. while still October 26 for France and Hong Kong.

Here in the States, there will be a limited advance screening in LA on October 28 at the EW PopFest. Tickets are available as a bonus to the first 300 two-day VIP tickets sold.

There's a small preview for the Infinite Comic (above $1.99) and the woman appears to be the MCU version of Adria from the comics.

9/8: New poster released. Runtime reported to be 130 minutes.

If you want to be true to the Lee/Ditko comics, and Ditko's work on the character, then you definitely need plenty of psychedelic visuals in there .

I don't watch alot of 3D films (or films in 3D), but I will probably watch this one.

I guess that explains why we only heard about his casting so late into production, but still surprising that they were considering not using Wong given how major a Dr. Strange supporting character he is .

Given the politics involved in Swinton's casting (cough China cough), I guess it's nice that they were at least able to keep one major Asian role in there, even if they were actually considering outright removing it beforehand .

Yeah, ealy on, I heard he may not be in the script, and it was a surprise indeed. And the irony of casting an actor named Wong.

Surprised to hear Dr. Strange will be totally stand alone - not even a mention of the Infinity Stones.

Yeah, and as we speculated - Kaecilius does have an interdimensional benefactor.

The CERN prologue Feige alluded to was intriguing. But I suppose it might have to do with their experiments creating dimensional breaches and more work for Dr. Strange and the others.

Well, they say it won't be addressed in the movie, but the Eye will probably still tie-in to the overall Infinity Stones plot once Strange gets involved with the wider MCU ;).

And it's pretty easy to guess who it is, given Feige even mentioned him by name :p.

    My other takeaways:

    - With McAdams' role being that of a connection to Strange's former life contrasted with his new life as Sorcerer Supreme (which is why they didn't use Clea), rather then a love interest, I hope that at least opens up a door for Clea in the sequels...

    - It sounds like the plan is still for Mordo to become Strange's Archenemy (next to Dormammu of course), they just want to be a little less obvious about it then in the comics. Though for the life of me I've never heard the phrase "arch turn" before .

    - Strange and Wong forming a kind of "odd couple" at least implies, to me, that their relationship will still be a focal part of the movie despite the changes made to Wong, which I'm happy about :).

Agreed, still perplexing Earth didn't blow up in Avengers 1 with so many Infinity Stones on the same planet. :p

Sequels are great for love triangles.

I appreciate that as opposed to stuffing the first movie with villains or as Feige referred to it as the cliche jealous schoolmate. And Kaecilius is already there as the disgruntled student.

    Agreed!

I'm still hoping that eventually we get a scene of Strage training Wanda, either during Infinity War or for Dr. Strange 2.

As we thought about the Eye of Agamotto. Well, like 99% confirmation.

I recall there was a rumor of that happening but I forget when it popped.

I think the rumor was that Wanda might actually be in Dr. Strange, though I think those were brewing back as early as Age of Ultron .
