3/27: According to the press release for Wonder Con, Intergalactic Games' release dates are now June 13 for digital HD and June 27 for DVD.
3/29: The instagram has been teasing #DCSuperHeroMonth. For DCSHG, training starts April 3rd.
For Wonder Woman Day, there will be a free DCSHG comic that previews a chapter from Summer Olympus. The cover provides a small peak at Ares' design.
Back cover for DCSHG Intergalactic Games on Amazon.
Shea will do a Facebook Live on Thursday for DCSHG.
That's a rough group of customers on that back cover .
Here's the Facebook interview with Shea Fontana.
Not much actual news but pretty entertaining stuff. She talks about how different heroes would handle some situations, that Blackfire will show up, more scenes outside the school, that Wonder Woman is not a great artist (in regards to the next digital first comic), and some stuff about Hawkgirl (she's Latina, speaks fluent Spanish, and her belt is actually what gives her the power of flight).
I've been wondering how they're going to introduce Raven. Will it be a webisode or will they do a websiode prelude then a second TV special centered around her first week or so like with they did with Supergirl.
I guess bringing her directly into the webisodes (similar to how they brought in Lena Luthor) could work, but it would be nice if they made another TV Special to introduce Raven.
It would be interesting to see if we ever get another proper TV special, though wasn't there also a Lego special in production, as I recall ?
I'm definitely curious to see how they integrate Raven since, so far, the events of the graphic novels haven't been referenced very much in the animated sections of DCSHG, outside maybe some references to the parts of the girls' lives and Trigon popping up .
Though there's still time for the girls to bring up Lex kidnapping them once they figure out Lena's a Luthor...
Here are some Wonder Con interviews for the Intergalactic Games movie. The interviewees include Cecelia Aranovich, Anais Fairweather, Shea Fontana, Stephanie Sheh, and Grey DeLisle Griffin.
The interviews don't really spoil anything from the movie, which is pretty nice. They do mention it will focus on the Starfire and Balckfire's relationship, and there will be a new villain revealed at the end of the movie but they don't say who exactly it will be.
And Grey Griffin is also voicing Platinum.
Wasn't she Tina/Platinum in Gods and Monsters too? I guess that makes it a role reprisal, more or less ?
Looking forward to seeing more Starfire and Blackfire interaction .
The first chapter of "Out of the Bottle" will be available next Wednesday (April 12th) and the other chapters will be available bi-weekly. Chapters are available for download Wednesday via the DC Comics App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comixology.com, Google Play, Kindle Store and Nook Store.
The article linked above also has some artwork and quotes from the crew.
I hope Swamp Thing Gets to be in this series at some Point.
I can see him being a Botany Teacher.
Why not bring Swamp Thing in as a student?
But then he wont teach Kids about Botany & the Green. Or in this case if he was a Student, He be nicknamed "Big Green."
Ha. Well they could use a bigger faculty. That's been lacking, imo.
I was only thinking Swamp Thing would get more screen-time and possibly be developed some more if he was part of the class. Plus they could do one of those cliches and teach kids not judge someone by his appearances or something (though to be fair that shouldn't be an issue in this school, and they kind of already did something like this with Mrs. Clayface).
But joining the teaching staff is fine, if it happens. The faculty revealed so far also seems like a pretty nice mix of classic heroes and villains.
I'm sure he'd probably be Ivy's favorite teacher if he was part of the faculty .
Here's another article about "Out of the Bottle" with some more artwork, from the DC Comics blog.
Heh, Mad Hatter. Nice to see confirmation Moone's other half will appear.
