    ======================================================

So WARNER BROS. finally seems like they're coming out of their fear of MARVEL/DISNEY and announcing more films for their DC Entertainment branch:

Nine more DC Comics movies planned after Justice League | Digital Trends

Some sites are reporting that they have FOUR major films ready:

DC announces four new movies - Celebrity Gossip and Movie News - Tribute.ca

    100 Bullets
    Metal Men
    SHAZAM!
    Fables

The Rock has been attached to SHAZAM for more than a few years already and does confirm his tweet about him speaking to WB about having a role set. Also, Metal Men has been talked about by "Men In Black" director Barry Sonenfeld. The list does not include Neil Gaiman’s Sandman with JGL attached or Del Toro's Justice League Dark.

I'm not holding my breath. ANNOUNCING films (in this regard anyway), and actually MAKING them are two completely different things. WB is all in for Justice League right now. I'm thinking that if the Man Of Steel sequel is the box office hit WB is hoping for, we'll no doubt get these movies. BUT, if the internet complaining about the direction WB is taking, and opening the movie the same day as Captain America 3, means anything. WB should be a little hesitant/reluctant on the matter in their plans for films AFTER Justice League (if that movie even happens).

Until WB lets go of their "everything must bring in the big bucks or it fails!" mentality, they're practically destined to fail.

Wow. I could care less about all of these, except maybe Shazam.

It would be nice if the Wonder Woman were to actually get made, even if it's going not going to be made until after Wondy's appearance in Justice League (this is assuming that the JL movie gets finished of course).

Shazam is a no-brainer. They should've jumped on that train around the time Harry Potter finished up.

One of them had better be Wonder Woman or I'm done.

And now for the Soldier's thoughts on all of this:

No Confidence here in any of these projects, whatsoever, considering whom were dealing with - and yeah, a Wonder Woman film would be awesome. Just NOT by these guys.

If a Superman movie can't do well under the current regime, Wonder Woman will likely fare much worse, IMHO, if it ever happens!

And I was hoping someone would break the trend of bad female protagonists that we only get small amounts of breakthroughs in an age where they should have happened immensely by now...

SHAZAM! and flipping Metal Men before the Flash or Wonder Woman? I know I know, they haven't announced the full list, but it seems really odd that these are the titles they've chosen to reveal first. Ah well, if either Batman Vs. Superman or Justice League flops, we're probably not getting anything besides another Batman reboot anyway.

I'm probably in the minority, but "Metal Men", "100 Bullets" and "Fables"?!? Yes!

That's what I'm saying: open up the Vertigo library, open up the obscure corners of the DC Universe, give us "Doom Patrol", "Animal Man", "Unknown Soldier", "Hitman", and "Legion of Superheroes". Recognize it's too late to try and compete with Marvel when it comes to universe building (leading up to a Justice League movie), and instead give us some great, artistic movies based on some wonderfully obscure comic books! :)

I know nothing of the Vertigo titles, so I can't comment on their popularity, but if Metal Men and SHAZAM! get movies before Wonder Woman, there's something seriously wrong with this world.

I'm thinking WB might be, well, thinking, that since these are "lesser" properties, they can appeal more to a general audience. At the same time, WB can tell the comic book audience they are doing DC adaptations that aren't just Batman or Superman.

It's possibly best to not think of them as being in competition - Wonder Woman is part of some movie universe that they apparently feel the need to build up (over the next 20 years), while a "Doom Patrol" movie could be cranked out whenever they want, it doesn't have to team up with Superman to validate it's existence.

That does kind of make sense. The Shazam movie could be their Iron Man movie. A character that's not as well known but if well done could end up being huge!
It'll be interesting to see they're take on Metal Men. It's a unique concept. The first time I even heard of these characters was when they appeared in Batman: Brave and the Bold.

I can't say these are the movies I want to see from Warner Bros., especially when they're trying to rush their DC movie universe to match the MCU, but Metal Men and Shazam have potential to be pretty fun movies :).

It's basically more of a film to set up Justice League than an actual sequel to Man of Steel.

Well, if this info turns out to be true... at least they're finally doing a Wonder Woman movie .

Though I would think it'd be a better idea to do a Man of Steel sequel and a movie with other heroes before Justice League, but Warner Bros. seems adamant about rushing it out to compete with the Avengers .

Kinda sad that Flash and Green Lantern are getting paired together for a movie rather than get their own, though hopefully they get a better title than Batman V. Superman. Brave and the Bold, anyone ;)?

Now I'm really interested to see who the identities for Flash and GL end up being, if they're going to end up paired together. If Green Lantern ends up being John Stewart instead of Hal, to distance away from the original live action movie, then I think it's likely Flash will be Wally West.

You know if this does turn out to be true and isn't just someone making something up and managing to put it on a supposed "reliable source" why of all things is the first solo movie of this DC Cinematic Universe (okay maybe Man of Steel is the first even though it doesn't really connect to anything as even Iron Man was far more of a start to the MCU then it was) after Batman vs Superman a Shazam movie? Really Captain Marvel/Shazam is decently popular but... mostly to comic book fans as he's only really appeared in other forms of medium and hsan't really started in anything on his own in the last... at least couple of decades right? Seriously if there are going to be solo films before Justice League how about I don't know actually doing Wonder Woman or Green Lantern first and not having them go after. This really doesn't make any sense. Even compared to DC's logic. Guess we'll see if there's any sort of validity to these by comic con but as it stands now the order of these properties don't make any sense. Personally I'd go with Man of Steel 2, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Flash, Batman Vs Superman, Justice League and the the Shazam and Sandman movies if those are the choices but hey I do hope for the best of these films if again this is a thing and isn't just a hoax.
