Just to let you guys know, Hurricane Irma and the Weather Channel coverage of the storm last weekend, etc could, might have took a hit in ratings. Not to mention this is now the lowest PPG 2016 has gotten yet.
^That is true Irma was a contribution to the low ratings, makes sense why the Adult Demo was very low.
Gonna take dibs and say the PPG special pulls around 850k tops.
Honestly, given just how many people talked about this, I'm betting it's going to be like 1.5 million.
i understand, but cable ratings are just going to get lower and lower
Woah there buddy. I understand your positivity, but I guarantee you the special isn't gonna come close to that. The most the special is gonna get is 1 mil. I'm assuming a 900k or something around that.
I don't know, this was hyped up relatively strongly and a ton of people were talking about it. Not to mention it's always the special events that get in this ballpark.
Ben 10: 909,000 (0.20)
Teen Titans Go!: 1,037,000 (0.24)
OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes: 871,000 (0.20)
The Amazing World of Gumball: 878,000 (0.20)
We Bare Bears: 801,000 (0.19)
Numbers weren't that far, and the adult demo is on the same level.
Transformers: Robots in Disguise: 547,000 (0.23)
Justice League Action: 642,000 (0.25)
The Powerpuff Girls: 983,000 (0.27)
Adventure Time: 766,000 (0.24)
Wow, considering just how much of a hot topic the PPG thing was, I expected it to be at least 1.3-1.5 million. I know the show itself hasn't done very well ratings wise (to say the least), but history has told me special events tend to be a MAJOR boost. Yeah, if a ratings trap like that still turned out underwhelming numbers, it's kind of a big sign this show isn't working out.
I guess AT could have done a lot worse too. Whatever, they clearly want more people to watch that on the app anyway.
I think PPG increased about the same way other specials increased based on their average ratings. PPG's average ratings were a lot lower, so it's final number will look low too.
I wonder how much of the boost was from CN actually promoting it, versus from people just hate watching this?
