Does this press release only show the more popular shows? Because Almost Naked Animals and Hero: 108 are returning with new episodes, but they don't seem to be listed.

I think it does. I doubt this is all the premieres, as we heard word that those shows will show new episodes next month.

That is a very dumb spot to be putting Thundercats premiers. If CN is gonna give it this kind of treatment, it might as well be handed over to Toonami.

I knew that the Bird Nation would be in "What Lies Above". Maybe Vultureman will be in it.

I guess it was too much to hope for Gumball. As I've said before, I'm inclined to believe that its second season will be its last, if only because of how convoluted - and likely expensive - its production is. Adventure Time and Regular Show seemingly air episodes year-round, with only occasional breaks.

I forgot to mention that I was disappointed we'll have no Looney Tunes Show in June. I hope July in time for my birthday and if not, I really hope that the fall is really strong with comedy premieres and LTS is better than S1.

They most likely want to air Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo back to back like last time. Scooby-Doo's second season is most likely done by now, so we have to wait on Looney Tunes now.

That aside, both will most likely air on Tuesdays again, since that's where all comedies that aren't 11-minutes go. Which for reference are: Total Drama, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Level Up, and Gumball (For some reason.)

The only problem is, right now as it is. If they start the Tuesday block at the same time as the Monday one, (7:30/6:30) there will only be enough room for three shows.

At the moment, that's okay, considering that LTS and Gumball are the only shows not ready yet. But when they are ready. There won't be enough room to include them, which means they'll probably get the death slot.

The only thing I can hope for is that Level Up and Total Drama end their seasons soon. Total Drama ends in September due to the shorter season, and it's clear Level Up won't last any longer.

Once those shows are gone, the Tuesday block can show Gumball, LTS, and Scooby. But we'll have to wait for September if we want any of this to go right. I don't want to see any of these shows get the death slot. (Except for Level Up, that I can do without.)

:^: Nah, it'll probably get more viewers. LTS reguarly did good and had only five episodes of twenty-six that got under 2.000 million viewers in S1. It makes sense for them to wait, but it could also be smart if they tried (all premieres):

    7:00 - TD:ROTI
    7:30 - Scooby Doo
    8:00 - LTS
    8:30 - Level Up/Johnny Test etc.

I don't think TDRI should be moved from it's slot when it has started airing in one though. IMO, TDRI should've gotten 8PM Wedensday, as Ninjago isn't even premiering before TDRI is over. Johnny Test would air right before, which is a good pair. Then Scooby-Doo and TLTS could air back to back somewhere, I'd prefer Tuesday, but I'm sure CN is not game for moving their beloved Level Up.

Actually, Level Up has only mid-way through its first season and a second season has been ordered, so I can see it sticking around for a while...

I don't think that's a bad timeslot for Thundercats premiers. They did promote the different timeslot shortly before and after new episodes started airing at that time and it's right before their DC Nation block. Thundercats wouldn't work for Toonami given the other shows that air during that block. All things considered, I think that it's a good slot for premiers, especially for Saturday mornings. A weekday evening premiere slot would be better, but I don't think that the timeslot is terrible by any means.

If it's gonna get the treatment it's getting now, then I doubt it's gonna last very long. I don't really know anybody that's gonna say "Hey, I'm gonna wake up to watch Thundercats!". It needs to be on later or on a weekday slot.

Except, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and Young Justice air on Saturday mornings too, and people watch them.

People are waking up to watch Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and DC Nation, and Thundercats is comfortably sandwiched between those shows, so going by that and the amount of posts the episode talkbacks receive, I'd say Thundercats is doing OK where it is now.

It's not like this just started happening; Thundercats has been airing on SatAM since it returned from its' initial hiatus. People have had plenty of time to adapt to the new time slot. Besides, when else could it air? The show's not a good fit for the current Toonami (if the block had returned to CN proper, then sure, but not on the Adult Swim Toonami), and there's no real place for it on weekdays either. Friday or Saturday nights on prime time would be a good time slot for Thundercats as well as CN's other action cartoons, but lackluster ratings against the shows on competing networks have ruled out that possibility.

There's also the matter of (based on what I've heard) how the toys haven't been selling all that well and the show's future is a big question mark at this point. If that's the case, then don't expect CN to switch Thundercats' time slot anytime soon. In any regard, it's not doing poorly where it is now; it has viewers and gets promotion on Saturday mornings. CN is treating Thundercats much better than they're treating Scooby-Doo: Mystery, Inc. right now.

This isn't really a new timeslot for Thundercats. Like Silverstar mentioned, new episodes for the series have been airing at 9:30AM since it came back from that hiatus. So, I don't know why you're acting like this is new development. Considering the other action series that air on Saturday mornings, it fits in fine with the Saturday morning lineup and people clearly watch these series. There are plenty of posts in the different talkback threads and more significantly, their ratings aren't zero, so people are watching them. I don't think that 9:30AM is that early, especially compared to the 6:30AM deathslot, and for a Saturday morning slot, it's pretty good. While a weekday slot for premiers would be nice, there's really no room for it unless Cartoon Network makes another action block, which I don't think they are anytime soon. It certainly wouldn't fit with the darker content in the shows Toonami airs, not even as a show to start off the block with. There's also how the toys haven't been selling that well, at least from what I understand, the show hasn't been renewed yet and I don't know if it's going to be at this point, but if it doesn't, then there really isn't a reason for Cartoon Network to change the timeslot at this point.

Thundercats premiers certainly aren't getting a horrible timeslot. Compared to how they handled The Secret Saturdays during their second season, Thundercats is getting the royal treatment and actually has some promotion.

Sorry, I just personally think it's stupid to have these premiere on Saturday morning, when a weekday IMO has more potential to get exposure. They were doing fine on Fridays weren't they? Putting any premiere on Saturday morning is just begging to get slaughtered by Nick and Disney.

They seem to be doing better on Saturday morning than they did on Friday night.

However I do think they should have tried Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday night before resorting to Saturday mornings.
