Cars 2 should have been Rocky 3 with cars. Hopefully they make up for the missed opportunity.

Tragic news: The RO voice of Lizzie, Tatiana Iekel, died! I wonder who will replace her into dubbing Lizzie.

No offense meant to anyone, but it should be rated G, just like Finding Dory should have been rated G. G means "general audiences" not "goo goo babies only". The Incredibles is the only Pixar that comes to mind really deserving of a PG, and that's because people are violently murdered off screen, people are injured and blown up on screen, and other chicanery occurs in abundance. These are cars getting wrecked.

Star Wars got a PG and almost got a G back in 1977. An arm got hacked off and Greedo got fried without provocation in the bar. We grew up okay. ;)

The PG-13 rating didn't exist back then. This was the only rating it COULD get under those circumstances.

From what I read, it fell halfway between the two ratings so they bumped it up to the higher one.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture got a G, and Airplane! and Spaceballs got PG. Airplane! had nudity, and Spaceballs had an F bomb. Spaceballs was even after PG-13 came out.

    tl;dr ratings aren't perfect.
