    LAST WEEK ON ONE PIECE
Zoro and Sanji won round 2 of the Foxy games and Luffy being the idiot and lovable character he is asked for Shelly back!

    THIS WEEK ON ONE PIECE...

    Last episode:
Sanji and Zoro showed how BA they are.
Nami showed how crafty she is.
And Luffy showed how stupid he is.

Previously on One Piece: Zoro and Sanji win the 2nd round and Luffy wins Shelly back (again, not in the manga).

Well, we get filler on Bleach and filler on One Piece. Just go ahead and stick hot needles in our face, why don'tcha? [/jk]

I'm going try to stick out this episode, but I'm not sure I can deal with Capt. Foxy's horrid face and the announcer's voice again.

I will admit I like Old Man Silts design. It works well for this style or animation.

    Awkward Kiwi.

There is a very good reason Chiquicheetah is giving the sniff and it WILL come back later.

Seesh, this talking is starting to get to me.

Nami's look of pure horror is priceless.

Luffy struggling to skate is strangely amusing.

I'm so sick of Zombies of any kind, I won't even touch anything related to them.

Technically they're not zombies. They're infected by a fungus.

Well, that was bad timing with the servers.

Anyway yeah, I actually found the fillers entertaining. Seriously, I did. People can react to these episodes like cockroaches if they wanted to, but they actually felt fitting. Heck, by the final round of this arc, it even felt as if the stakes were risen which apparently didn't happen in the manga.

This felt like a time travel to the 70's when roller blading games was popular.

Well, that was a fine time for Toonzone to putz out.

Oh well, in any case, the second half was pretty good. And, well, honestly, for a filler episode, I have to admit this was pretty enjoyable (yes, yes Hypeathon, you were right). It actually managed to get a few laughs out of me and I liked the designs of some of the filler characters. Still, it does needlessly extend what should be a short, light-hearted breather arc, but thankfully it's only for four episodes. And yeah, for this episode at least, it was about as good as we could expect.

    Drats, a roller-derby episode and I didn't make a Rollerball reference.

I thought that this was an okay episode. Luffy's eagerness to be in the race, but not being able to skate was pretty funny. The hypnosis seemed like a cheap move, but not as bad as the other moves they've pulled. It did help create more tension and drama when they have to win the next round. I liked how even some of the Foxy Pirates were cheering for Luffy when he was struggling to get up near the end. Overall, it was a pretty decent episode. I hope that next week's episode will be more fun to watch though.
