    They are fighting Stand using mercenaries that are working for a dude using another dude as a full body prosthetic. Also Stands tend to go to people who are aggressive.

    Still, you'd imagine that more than five people would use stands for good rather than evil. The only reason the world isn't extinct is that five brave heroes take on Rita Repulsa--I mean Dio's army of evil stand users. The world of JoJo would really suck to live in considering how high the body count is (although somehow lower than HunterXHunter's, that world it's a miracle to live past 30). Who wants to live in a real-life anime world?

    Don't worry you see stand users who use their abilities in more mundane uses in part 4

    Stand users are very rare. Plus due to Stand users being naturally aggressive people, and any meeting between users(which will eventually happen, these people are drawn to each other) will result in a fight.

    Maybe the vast majority of stand users are evil because stands are a corrupting influence. With killer jelly powers, how can that be used for good? That's just gonna tempt users to abuse that power and kill puppies.

    The long jumps and climbing aren't really new things, we knew Star Platinum was pretty strong from the beginning (its got an A in Destructive Power) when it was able to break the jail bars from the first episode and seeing the stand in full you can clearly see it doesn't skip out on leg day, so it's got great leg strength.

    Yellow Temperance copying Kakyoin's stand isn't a plothole since the stand assassins already have information on the Crusader's abilities thanks to DIO's Spirit photography, and all Yellow Temeprance did was mimic Hierophant Green's appareance and movement which really isn't hard for it to do.

    Stands with nasty abilities can be used by good people (ie. Kakyoin who can go inside people with Hierophant Green). They're not really a corruptive influence so much as the users are already rotten people who believe their supernatural abilities are better to use for nefarious purposes than good.

    Plus these people are mercenaries, AKA the guys who discovered they have some weird superpowers and found a way to make money off of them.

    I mean most of these people are being mind controlled and the ones who aren't fear DIO's power.

    Or are in love with him considering that Avdol felt the need to describe himself being attracted to DIO in his description of them meeting.

    As already mentioned, there are some decent people out there who use their Stand powers for mundane things. The ones that are targeting team JoJo are basically mercenaries that either admire Dio, fear his power, or looking for some quick cash.

    The problem here:

    1. The term Wheel of Fortune existed well before the game show (with the show getting its name from the tarot card of the same name);

    2. Death itself is another type of tarot card, which can definitely lead to some confusion later on.

    Stands fitting over their user's body and the user working with the stand is a fairly common thing and assuages one of the complaints that stands were doing all the work while the user just sat back and posed. The imagery of the two working in tandem becomes much more common later on, showing them being "the same". Star Platinum has super strength and so Jotaro uses that to kick up off the ground. Yellow Temperance can also mimic stands to a certain degree.

    part 4 is when the creator was like "what if your next door neighbor had a stand?". Lots of ordinary people with stands or one time villains that then team up with the heroes.

    Jotaro seems to like to give a few punches to villains themselves instead of letting Star Platinum do the work. I personally enjoy his fights even though his early jerk tendencies scared a few viewers off the show. We've seen some hints at a compassionate person underneath a rough exterior. He seems to be quite protective of children (including keeping this week's potential human victim of the week from dying. Poor puppy couldn't be saved, though).
