We started with Duel, and we're ending with Christine.
EDIT: Ninja'd by Kitschensyngk.
Man vs. Car. Just like that episode of Rick and Morty.
And of course the girl trips.
Man, you come right out of a Monty Python cartoon.
And so, Part 3 ends...
What, no fourth wall breaking like in the Japanese version?
We're gonna need three more consonants and one more vowel.
Wow, Arnold Cunningham? That really WAS Christine!
And no bonus round.
Whoever thought it was a good idea to cut that should be shot
Sheesh. Not only did this guy skip leg day, he skipped everything else, except arm day.
...and with that, Anne's role in the series has come to an end.
I HAVE SUCH A HEADACHE!!!
Zenibaba vows revenge on Sen and No-Face.
So they're just going to leave him? Not only is it cruel, but the guy could always escape (or get someone to release him) and start hurting people again.
While the term won't show up until later, consider ZZ Top to be "retired" after his fight with Team JoJo.
That's actually a good point. We actually didn't see him hurt anybody but the SCs. Well, technically not anybody but them--hello, stranded truck driver. Either kill him or don't chain him like that without evidence.
Well, at least she made an invaluable contribution to this episode.
Yeah she did. She gushed over Jotaro casually deciding the group should strand the driver of a truck they wrecked in the middle of mountainside India in 1989.
....wait a minute.
Anne leaves next episode.
I'm well aware her final appearance is next week (in a cold opening that wraps up the loose ends from this episode). However, with this episode, she has finished off her main role in the series: someone who, by being the damsel in distress, can get across to viewers that there is some positive traits of Jotarou after the first few episodes made him come off a total jerk to some viewers.
Episode 39 was pretty sweet,
Team Joestar are heading to Pakistan, great.
Poor Anne to join Team Joestar, but her crush on Jotaro was funny, hehehe.
The unknown red car following them, the next Stand user assassin, they're everywhere following/targetting Team Joestar.
Both Jotaro/Kakyoin managing to pull themselves to safety using Star Platinum/Hierophant Green was great.
ZZ, my next favorite of DIO's assassins, he was cool and his Wheel of Fortune Stand power turning into a car and transforming was pretty cool and love his great psycho dub voice.
ZZ the smartest assassin to beat Team Joestar by soaking them with gasoline was clever.
Jotaro's sweet clever strategy to defeat ZZ was pretty sweet.
Poor ZZ's loss, but his bizarre body shape was funny, hahahahahaha.
Not a good idea for Team Joestar to leave ZZ chained up, someone will release him in the future.
It looks like Enya is next, Team Jotaro will crush her though, yaaaaaaay, while despising the old piece of crap, but I do love the Rita Repulsa-like voice though.
Considering how many civilians die when in the presence of team JoJo, letting trucker guy fend for himself might be for the best, especially considering the fact that they were on the run from a dangerous guy and getting another person to tag along could have slowed them down just enough that they could not survive. Team JoJo was probably being more pragmatic than cruel.
Is saying "Oh no!" in that silly voice Joseph's new catchphrase because Richard Epcar's delivery is pretty silly, deliberately silly I think?
It would have been nice for the show to clarify that, especially when they already had Annie in tow. Oh wait. I forget. Annie has plot armor.
Also, the whole truck driver stuff doesn't change how the group beat up a group of innocent people just to find one person (at least Kakyoin instead protested that, thank God), as well as chain an enemy who barely did ANYTHING wrong to an escapable fate worse than death.
I will say that at least the gasoline attack was foreshadowed well, but it just means that rather than for every 1 hit, it's more like for every 2 hits that there's like 81,018,001 misses.
