Last Time: Piccolo is Frost's next opponent after the latter defeats Goku. During the match, Piccolo is managing to hold his own, and even gains the upper hand - until he mysteriously begins to get dizzy. Jaco makes the claim that Frost has been cheating - and his claim gets verified. When it turns out that Frost is actually an intergalactic criminal, the announcer attempts to disqualify him, but Vegeta cuts in, claiming that he wants to personally defeat Frost.

This Time: Vegeta, angered at Frost's lack of honor, decides to fight the villain with his full power.

NOTES: Tonight's Super airs at 8:30 and 11:00 PM, the latter followed by a new Kai. Watch them both, and no spoilers!

Today's episode begins with both Destroyers agreeing that the match between Vegeta and Frost doesn't have to follow the rules like the other matches in the tournament. When the match begins, Vegeta powers up to Super Saiyan 1 and easily knocks Frost out of the ring and knocks him out (he admits to pulling his punches so as to not kill Frost). After the match, Beerus manages to find an injury on Goku caused by Frost's poison which means Goku is allowed to take part in the tournament once again. Although Goku wants to fight last so he can see Monaka fight, Beerus insists that he will fight if Vegeta looses and Monaka will fight last as he is "their secret weapon". Beerus also tries to keep Whis quiet when Whis casually mentions that Monaka has been unconscious since the time Goku used the Kamehameha.

Champa then creates a new rule where a barrier is added around the ring (much like a cage match) and says touching the barrier counts as a ring out; Beerus isn't happy about this last minute change and argues with his brother over it. While this is going on, Frost regains consciousness and he tries to steal the treasure Champa promised the Universe 6 Team and escape with the Hexahedron the Universe 6 Team arrived in...only to be stopped by the purple, humanoid alien who talks for the first time (voiced by Matthew Mercer). Frost reveals the alien's name is "Hit" and that he is Universe 6's "legendary assassin"; Hit wastes no time in knocking Frost out again (seemingly without moving from his spot) and he says he can't allow Frost to take something he was promised, as well.

The next representative of the Universe 6 Team to fight Vegeta is the giant robot, whose name is revealed to be "Auta Magetta" and he speaks in a language different from all the other characters. Fuwa reveals that Auta Magetta's species is the "Metal Men" and that the species should also exist in Universe 7. Although his movements are slow at first, Auta Magetta is very durable and he powers up to increase his speed and strength. Vegeta flies to fight at a distance and it looks like Auta Magetta can't fly...but he does shoot lava at Vegeta to counter the Saiyan Prince's energy barrage. Although Beerus accuses the lava as a weapon/cheating, the announcer looks up information on the biology of the Metal Men and finds out that the lava is actually Auta Magetta's saliva, meaning it's allowed. The barrier hinders Vegeta's movements but he manages to power up to Super Saiyan 1 when he is surrounded by the smoke caused by Auta Magetta's attack. The episode ends with Whis pointing out that Auta Magetta is making the arena hotter and Vegeta is starting to feel the heat.

Seeing Vegeta easily defeat Frost was pretty satisfying, especially for those who felt Vegeta didn't get to do much against Frieza. Likewise, it is good to know that Goku is back in the tournament now that Frost's cheating has been exposed. Beerus wanting Whis to keep quiet about Monaka's "true identity" suggests something fishy going on. As of this episode, all 5 members of the Universe 6 Team have had their names revealed and we get to hear Hit talk for the first time (however brief it was). Auta Magetta is certainly a unique fighter, especially since he can't fly which has become the norm since DBZ. I look forward to seeing how Vegeta and Auta Magetta's match continues in the next episode.

Previously on DBS: Frieza 2 is a low-down dirty rotten cheater.

But now Vegeta finally gets his shot at beating...well, a Frieza.

So their Frieza is just as big a dick as our Frieza.

And now a little of what Vegeta calls post-trauma therapy.

By the episode title, I'd say this calls for a TOM's Speech:

"Does he have to play the hero when poison is involved?"

So......poison is where we draw the line?

And that's that. Went down like a sack of potatoes.

Interesting a tidbit, in the manga, Frost managed to block some blows from Vegeta before being knocked out.

Yay! Vegeta finally defeated Frieza! I mean, not THE Frieza, but A Frieza.

    And Goku has been un-disqualified!

He's spending a year dead for tax purposes.

Hmm, something's up with the nipple elf.

Also, wasn't Buu supposed to be part of this too?

Yeah, Whis, I'm sure the Kais would make all of the Only Sane Man comments.

Buu fell asleep in the anime, disqualifying him. Whereas in the manga, he failed the test. So yeah.
