The black guy makes me think of Balrog from Street Fighter, and the bald guy looks like someone has been juicing up.

Today's episode begins with Hercule/Mr. Satan/Mark making it look like he let Trunks win the exhibition match (which leads to the spectators singing his praises some more) and manages to hold it together long enough to make it to his dressing room where he finally lets out a scream of pain. Still wanting to compete in the Adult Division, Trunks sneaks off with Goten and knocks out the finalist known as "Mighty Mask" (voiced by Jim Foronda, who previously voiced Janemba's first form from the 12th DBZ movie), taking his costume to disguise both himself and his best friend. Piccolo reveals that he entered the tournament as "Ma Jr" (the alias he used in DB) due to his name being the same as his father, who caused great terror back in DB. After some lunch, the Z-Fighters run into two other finalists, Shin (voiced by Kent Williams, who also voices Dr. Gero) and Kibito. Shin says he has heard many tales of how strong Goku is and politely mentions that he looks forward to seeing the legend in action.

When the Z-Fighters arrive to the gathering spot, Hercule/Mr. Satan/Mark is the only finalist not present and has sent a message asking the Announcer to draw for him since he says he is "feeling under the weather". One of the finalists is named "Spopovich" (voiced by Andrew Chandler, who also voices Cooler) and he competed in the previous tournament (the one Hercule/Mr. Satan/Mark won), the Announcer adds that Spopovich looks different compared to the previous tournament. Not all of the finalists have drawn numbers by the end of the episode, but the episode ends with the revelation that Goku and Vegeta will fight in the beginning rounds.

I really liked the music in this episode and I found Krillin's impression of Hercule/Mr. Satan/Mark to be hilarious. I remember being very intrigued by the mastery surrounding this episode back when Regular DBZ aired all those years ago and I am interested in seeing the reactions of the viewers who have never seeing this saga before as they see this mystery unfold.

I didn't think 18 was shorter than Vegeta, but clearly I was wrong. Sheesh, Trunks, you steal a guy's costume, but how do you and Goten expect to fight in that thing without suffering a wardrobe malfunction? And I have to laugh at "Ma Junior".
