    Bleach 260:Sword Beast Arc

    Opening 11:Anima Rosa- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ociriebR_zI
    Ending 22:Leaving you

    Last time
: Hanatarō, Ikkaku, Hōzukimaru, and Nanao decided to go on a investigation in order to find..lost items and chickens. Their investigation led to the sewers where they not only find a rampaging Sword Beast, but Hanataro's Zanpakuto Spirit: Hisagomaru. It was revealed that Hisagomaru was really the thief and that he only stole everything because he thought his master ditched him. ...The episode ends with the chickens and items recovered but...Hisagomaru gets seperated from the group again.

Today: Kazeshini wants to finish things with Hisagi once and for all but...he gets stuck with a baby.

Like always, here is the Zanpakuto Chart created by myself and suggested by Neo Ultra Mike. With this chart you can learn all the up to date info about the Zanpakuto spirits so far currently in the dub:

SPOILERS ARE NOT TOLERATED: No talk of future arcs, events, etc! If you must talk about something outside of this episode please refer to the anime forum or discuss it through pm! This talkback is only about the current dub!

Countdown to the return of Fake Karakura: 6 episodes!

    Notes:
Filler, filler, and more filler~ We got sword beast partying, runaway snakes, kidnapped chickens, and now babysitting~

Okay this might be the worst of all the sword fiend arc, and that is saying something.

"You fight as dirty as you look!"
    Oh yeah, THAT'S original.

Can't we all just get along?
...oh wait, they can't. If they did, we wouldn't have 260 episodes already.

"Dude. Stop spazzing like that. You're giving us all a bad name."

Why is Hisagi so uninteresting? When is the baby going to come in?

A baby in the afterlife. There's a sad thought.

Babies shouldn't play with sharp objects.

"Time to lose you, ya rugrat!"
Hey, don't say "rugrat". Viacom will sue.

So we've gone from chasing chickens to babysitting. Complete with a soiled diaper joke.
I'm guessing the studio just...gave up completely at this point?

Mr. Gloomy Gus has some of the best lines for the ep so far.

And of course, where there's babies, there's toilet humor.

So the baby, he was a baby when he died? So how do you suppose he died.

I never thought I say this, but bring back the Bounts.I miss the days of the Bounts arc.

Woman dropped the baby. She just drops the baby and he's about to trust her with it.

I wonder if this thread will get a page two.

Not a bad episode of Bleach on Toonami this week, it started off with some fun action with some fun characters and then it seemed to become all about the baby which started off cool but then kind of hindered the episode a bit. Still, I enjoyed what action we got and I really enjoyed some of the characters showcased in this episode, so I guess it was better than last week and the episode a week before that.

This is exactly why I stopped doing one-sentence recaps for this show. I cannot possibly type in "Shinjigami and his friends chase after chickens in the sewers while fighting a tentacle monster" and make it any more appealing than it ISN'T.

W-wow! Um... boy, e-even I didn't think about it that way. Not even when I watched it in Japanese first. That is a sad thought! Did the writers of this episode not realize that?!

Babies can be born in the Soul Society. I'm almost certain that it has been stated before.

edit: Yoruichi was born in the Soul Society.

They should kill the baby, so he can be reborn and have a second chance of having a long life.

So the sword beasts they are essentally hollow zanpaktus.

....What? Wait a minute, how?! I'm not following the logic of life, death and rebirth in Bleach anymore.

Actually found it a touching episode - who knew Kazeshini had it in him to take care of a baby, or even say the word "please"?

When people die in the real world they are reborn in the Soul Society.

If people die in the Soul Society they are reborn in the real world.

    Thus the cycle goes on.

This is actually one of my favorite episodes in this mini arc so far, mostly because I found Kazeshini to be rather interesting. ...And there is the fact that I'm a sucker for the type of episodes that have the violent character learning the value of life and friendship through a child.
