I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the Anime Forum, but since this movie has aired several times before on CN Toonami and part of this aired on the April Fools stunt...

Discotek Media has rescued the North American license to Blue Submarine No. 6 from Bandai. The 4-episode OVA will be released (sub and dub) on remastered DVD and Blu-Ray later this year.

    Sweet.
Really happy to see more rescues of classic Bandai anime happening here.

    Awesome! :)

Granted, I already have the Anime Legends edition with all the extras including the anime Cutscenes from a Playstation game they produced, it's great new generations can enjoy this classic.

I know. They announced Samurai Pizza Cats last year, and now they're getting this. I think they're trying to reach Shout! Factory levels of infamy. I'm glad for them.

I may have to check out the series since I've never seen it, but I'll be more interested if they start getting various Gundam series.

For some reason I thought it was 6 episodes. Blame its name I guess.
