According to Hollywood Reporter, the show has been renewed for a Season 2 ahead of the premiere.
So awesome! I loved the movie and I love when shows get season renewals before they start like Star Wars Rebels and Tangled: The Series because it shows the network is confident in the product.
I'm definitely excited for our first look at some footage, but in the meantime, this shot of Hiro and Baymax definitely seems to illustrate a beautiful art style for the show.
This isn't surprising given Disney animation track record, but really happy to hear about it all the same .
Hoping the show lives up to all the hype .
I found this video that shows a few cast members of the cartoon doing a fist bump. It's a funny video, but (and I don't want to get off topic) I'm wondering why they showed Khary Payton as Wasabi here yet when there was a similar stunt with the new Ducktales cast singing the classic theme song, they didn't show Tony Anselmo as Donald?
Yeah, I'm not complaining though. It seems pretty regular occurrence as of late that Disney doesn't mind giving their new animated shows a second season pickup almost right off the bat or even before the show has premiered. I'm fine with it because it at least means we definitively get at least two seasons and about 52 episodes, which is a pretty fair amount.
Maybe the first trailer will be released to coincide with the D23 Expo, that runs from July 14 to 16? It would make sense, since this show is to debut this fall.
I thought it will be boring one for me, but started watching yesterday and it seems be cool
I'll be curious to see what type of threats and villains the team will face in the series. I imagine they will want to keep the villains they use more obscure so they have a little more free reign to reinvent them similar to the heroes.
I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of villains are original.

I think they can do a good job coming up with villains. I was a huge Kim Possible fan and the villains they came up with and the world they built were a big part of why. It was also why I was pretty happy to hear who would be crafting the series. While I think it would be pretty cool if they reworked some obscure Marvel villains for the show, I won't fuss if they just went all the way original instead. Whatever works is fine, as long as there's variety. I think it can be dull if there's an entire rogues gallery of bot-based villains.

Just one more show I'll be checking out - the fact that it's already got Season 2 secured isn't a big deal, however. Disney usually does that to give its creators work, or better, to give work to those on a product they have faith in - like others examples I'm sure everyone has pointed out by now that needth no repeating around here.
That makes sense. They probably will be mostly villains made for the show.
I'm kind of wondering if they have the rights to any other comic based characters besides the comic characters that appeared in the movie. It hasn't been clearly confirmed or denied.
Y'know, speaking of villains, I wonder if the show will check in on what happened with Callaghan and his daughter after the movie ?
It would also probably be easy to bring back Krei, given Alan Tudyk is already doing voice work on another Disney cartoon .
Would also bee cool to see them re-incorporate those kabuki twins from the concept art .
Perhaps, or someone else could masquerade as Yokai, making the heroes think Callaghan escaped prison or something.
He's already been confirmed. Check out the voice cast announcement.
That... would be so cool!
The Fujitas? Man, they have good potential to appear in this.

They've started getting back finished animation.
Season 1 will have 21 episodes

21 episodes is pretty rare, I always expected 20 episodes honestly.
