    Al Hartley was the one that always did that, unless someone else handled the story after him, in which case they usually edited out the exclamation points. Hartley also drew some "serious" realistic-style comics in his career, and he did the same thing.

    OH NO! THAT MAN IS GOING TO SHOOT THOSE CHILDREN
    !!!

    Samm Schwartz, naturally.

    oh, ok. makes sense.

    can anyone post scans of Al Hartley's art? I'm not sure what it was that I disliked about it, maybe it was just the exclamations.

    Al Hartley also did the art for many Spire Christian Comics in the 1970's and 1980's including many Archie religious leaning titles.

    Yes, they happened and I have most of them. They are actually pretty good. If you're not offended by Jesus, that is.

    This still looks wrong. Especially the "Nu-Tang Clan" T-shirt.
    Does anyone else hear Michael J. Fox's voice coming out of Archie?

    Elvis vs. Pat Boone? No wonder Archie always went for Ronnie.

    Jughead's "milkshake" comment is a little iffy.

    I read only the "Archie meets Archie", and I say it could've been longer and had more potential.

    The Shadow's Danger Room looks a little low rent. Why doesn't he just dodge the noose?

    OOPS! Archie even made outside of Archie and the Riverdale crew:
    * Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    * Wild West Cow Boys of Moo Mesa
    * Hanna-Barbera titles (before D.C. Comics bought the rights)
    * Sonic the Hedgehog
    * Bayou Billy
    * Koosh Kins (3 issue mini series, the 4th. issue was planned but cancelled)
    * Nights Into Dreams

    Was this the same Shadow as the one in the famous radio program?

    I have issues 1 through 3 of Koosh Kins. That's the kind of thing that doesn't get a digest reprint. One element of the comic was prophetic: There is one Kin who is "so cool, he reduces much of what he says to abbreviations." I don't think anyone cool ever did that in 1991, but OMG, IDK, my BFF Jill?

    Judging from issue #1's cover, the answer seems to be yes. But he ditches the trademark trench coat for superhero tights in the 2nd issue.
