    I used to sit in my FLE class hoping that they'd show this video. They did, once. I haven't seen it since then. That was one of the first and last times I actually payed attention during an entire health video. :D

    You know what's sad? Not only do I remember this, but I also point to it as the major reason I don't do drugs. :rolleyes:

    I saw this when I was like....four, and thought it was awesome. After reading that article, I wonder if I myself was taking drugs.

    Could've sworn Michelangelo and Bugs had bigger parts...At least it had Garfield and George L. Scott.

    Man, I think I actually got my parents to rent the tape of this for me back in the day. Man, I'd love to find a copy of it now.

    You should always say no to drugs. That will drive the prices down. :D (j/k)

    I guess I'm the only one who has never seen this before, and I should be old enough to remember it!

    ......

    I remember seeing this about 4 times during my life.

    It's cute, but full of camp. The X-E article really rbought back the ghosts. I vividly remember the Alf part the most for some reason. Maybe because that was my favorite part. :D

    I'd like to see it again though. =)

    I have this show on tape. Not a tape you can rent from Blockbuster, though - I recorded it off TV myself in SLP back when it premeired simotaneously on just about every friggin' channel in the country around April 1990.

    I recorded it because it had Garfield in it. I was collecting the Garfield cartoons back then. I can think of few other reasons I would've recorded it back then. ^^;

    Nerdy Historical Stuff: "Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue" was the first cartoon featuring Looney Tunes characters that premeired after Mel Blanc's death. Millions got to hear Jeff Bergman's Bugs and Daffy for the first time. This show also marks the first appearance of LT characters being animated overseas. AND.. "Cartoon All-Stars" features what is probably the very last appearance of Hanna-Barbera's version of the Smurfs.

    Now you people make me want to watch it again!

    ::laffs!::

    :D

    Didn't know who ALF was!? Was it that long ago?

    I remember this cartoon. Greatest thing I ever saw!!! It wasn't so much the message as the ultimate cartoon crossover of all American time.

    I was just waiting and watching for any interaction between my favorite characterst that I could find.

    Good stuff! I'm off to read this article!

    I'm oblivious to this but the article made me laugh so hard, esp. that comment about Barbara Bush! On a side note, does anyone remember the anti-drug video where the Flintstones met Micheal Jackson? That one was so lame that everyone in my class burst out laughing when we saw it, and we were in 4th grade!

    I think he's refering to The Flintstone Kids "Just Say No" special. (shudders) I don't know what Michael Jackson's "stone aged" name was in that one. (probably Michael Jackstone, or something.) Dose Cartoon Network air this episode within The Flintstone Kids series itself? Just curious. With the way Michael's been acting lately, I doubt that this special would ever see the light of day again. (Not that I'm dying to see it, but you get the idea.)
